Yes, and ir I am not mistaken Zydrunas Savickas did 550. BUT Brian's and Savickas's lifts were performed in this type of bar with these tires, wich makes it "easier" because: 1-The bar is higher, wich means less range of motion, and 2-The bar bends, so the weights don't come of the ground at the same time. If you look closely, the last tire doesn't come of the ground until Brian's hands are above the knees, so until that point he isn't technically lifting 511 kg. Edit : Savickas did not lift 550, it was the same as Shaw. I'm dumb :)

@gabrielkeni79654 ай бұрын
Because plates are harder to lift, there's physics behind this Basically plates are denser and their centre of gravity are very equal, while wheels will often bend and because of the bend, it will feel easier to lift the center of gravity off the ground, but the difference isn't that big tbh... Lifting 1128lbs of wheels is just as impressive as lifting 1102 of plates

@yoseifschwarz31328 жыл бұрын
+y3wtub3 Yes. there is a bend to the bar which in addition to how far out the tires go makes it a deadlift that gets progressively heavier as he reaches the end of the lift. This is somewhat easier than the standard deadlift which is why it is not recorded as a part of the standard deadlift world record. You can even find videos on youtube of him training for this lift with strength bands to simulate the increase of weight as the bar travels upward. To give you some perspective on the difference in difficulty between the two lifts, at the time that he did this lift his personal recorded best standard deadlift was 985 and the world record at the time was held by Eddie Hall at something like 1018 lbs. Brian has subsequently pulled what is the second heaviest deadlift in history at 1021 while Eddie Hall on the very same stage pulled 1026 lbs.

No, it's not the same, the range of motion is less, however, the bar bends when there's just that much weight on the bar, so it's not like he's using a cheap ass bar or something. There are deadlift bars which give a little whip, moreso than traditional stiff bars, he probably used the former.

For anyone who thinks this is fake just remember that science says our bones are 5 times stronger than concrete and bender than steel meaning they can bear a great weight before breaking. Also bone density is different for each person, that 180lb estimate is probably an average of many people. Not everyone has the genes to lift 500kg. Also don't forget some people have fast reacting muscles yet they lack In overall power ie sprinters and boxers( the speed is what really gives the power in boxing although overall strength does actually come into play) but deadlifters like this dude will likely have slower reacting muscles but he will use more muscle groups in tandem and with each muscle delivering more force over time hence he can achieve this amazing feat. I’m confused. How did Eddie set the deadlift record?
@ChitrakChattopadhyay2 жыл бұрын
height mostly, the tires on the sides are only lifted like a foot off the ground while the bar is 4 feet up, compared to plates where the bar has much less give so all the weight is at hip height not just the middle part.

Most people can't lift one of those tires without the rim in it lol.

Last time I made a deadlift of 700Kgs
@LiNDa3433_4 ай бұрын
Even if that was 1128lbs it’s no record. That bar was hella elevated compared to most deadlifts thanks to the tire. I don’t consider this legit.
@peasantxd2227 күн бұрын
It’s funny because it’s still 1128 pounds ur just a hater

@@idontknowagoodname3015 Yeah the one Shaw did is somewhat easier compared to what Hall did because you have to cover less distance from the ground making it somewhat easier compared to conventional deadlift. Still impressive feat.

@@st-gw1wz yes that's what I was wondering.

How is it 1128 pounds if Eddie hall done 500kg and was the first man to deadlift 500kg
@hansongo585 жыл бұрын
Is this heavier than what Eddie hall weighed
@aidangriffiths5075 Жыл бұрын
He pulled a heavier weight after too

It could look more authentic and more real if they installed normal weights than these tyres ..

This is confusing i thought eddie hall had the record of 500kg or 1102 pounds
@TheChoppierre4 жыл бұрын
Two different types of Equipment tho. This tire thing is closer to the knees, therefore easier to lift.
