I am a huge fan of two bros, I love making my planes do insane things. But I also understand business and marketing. The size of the audience who actually want to fly like he does is slim due to the advanced nature of his setups and the advanced skills required to fly planes like that, which the general population does not have! Brian does an excellent job showing planes just how they are out of the box and how a person will likely experience the plane. Which is most people in the rc market. Jon’s videos are without a doubt amazing to watch, but there will always be value in the “here’s exactly how this flies out of the box” for everyone. Great work and awesome videos!
@BrianPhillipsRC2 ай бұрын
Yep - nail on the head! Funny thing is, Jon thinks his setups are "easy" - LOL!!! I'm a technical type of guy, but he doesn't realize how complicated he makes the planes, but for good reason. He is pushing them to the limits, and beyond. It's super fun to watch, and he makes a great show too! I'm jealous of his editing skills!!! He is definitely into RC too, and not just a shill like so many people like to claim. He really loves the hobby, and isn't afraid of telling you what he hates about it - This too, I'm quite jealous of - LOL LOL LOL - we gotta keep on the rails. Our mission and his are quite different, as you pointed out. I fear I make the planes "too hard" for some, as well, and try desperately to make it "easy", but when I say "easy" that's still pretty subjective, as I have now 10 years of doing this, and I forget sometimes just how much I've learned in that time! Disseminating such a plethora of crazy nonsense technical jargon to "average joes" thinking about entering the hobby, can be draining, but so long a people are coming, and watching, we'll keep doing it. Even if a small percentage of folks NEED the help, we're happy to provide it, but that means 2-3 hour long videos where others will cover the "highlights"...problem is, so many guys want step by step from start to finish - We try to give exactly that. Thanks for being here, and for your support!

@BrianPhillipsRC2 ай бұрын
Yeah, if it worked, but also I didn't end up seeing the movement. The MIX will work right away, but the AS3X+ Nose wheel stab would need to "relearn" of the "Max Throws" step where you move the gear through the full range of motion. I didn't do that since I didn't see the nose wheel move any further when I scrolled in 150% on the servo setup screen, but I might want to look into this a bit closer.

What is pilot fatigue? How is it different from normal thrust reverse?
@BrianPhillipsRC2 ай бұрын
We make a setting where we make the throttle position FULL on, as well as turning thrust revers on. It's just some terminology we stole from REAL Jet pilots, but we talked a lot about this over the years, starting with an F-16 80mm, where we started doing it. Basically, we setup a controllable thrust reverse setting, then one more click, and the throttle is locked FULL on...so we don't really do it on prop planes, for safety reasons.

You'd lose the Black and Red wire with Micro PH battery lead for the flight pack telemetry, fyi, but if you need that still you can also get the AR637T...but for $15 more, get the AR8360T...just go for the gold ;) As for the AR631+ - it's exactly the same setup...just less pluggable channels.

We all fly should be together as a community of fliers not unhappy how one flies to the next, question in safe is there a way to add more throws on planes you need to lower gains ( safe ) you loose throws. Sure I'm not the only one who has the same question. Again great flight hope there's a answer to the question
@BrianPhillipsRC2 ай бұрын
If you open up the limited pitch and bank angles, you will see them allow for a bit more movement in SAFE mode. BUT, to be honest, you can limit what SAFE does in forward programming too. SAFE makes the plane more flyable than other Auto-Leveling options we've played with in the past, and in our opinion.

The "C" ratings are totally dubious. Those white 70c CNHL are decent, but large packs sag, badly - run 2p. Check out GNB batteries for a variety of good 8S batteries. Always run 2p for high power setups. Sorry to tell you this, but the "smart" spektrum packs are very overpriced.
@BrianPhillipsRC2 ай бұрын
I've heard they're good too...and a few others, but I really like "SMART" stuff since we have so many sizes and I don't have to babysit them...plus, we're slightly more exposed than the average Joe, with all those batteries there. It's funny, we have 900 lbs of batteries just about 10 feet away from them, but under a floor system and a couple layers of concrete...they're LiFePO batteries too...so "safer" - my point is, SMART at least give us an edge on battery maintenance in our somewhat strange circumstances. I'd love to get my mitts on some HV packs, but not sure I'm ready to dick around with than on every single plane TOO...I kinda already feel like we're doing so much. I just want my jets to have balls...I can't be alone. SMART packs do tend to be a bit weak on high draw applications, like twin 70mm's and that sort of thing, in our experience. They'd do fine on this plane, but I just want new to make sure they aren't gonna puff, right away, so we can warn people not to pick them, if that'll happen.
@mlentsch2 ай бұрын
@@BrianPhillipsRC All good. HV packs give more power during the first half of the pack, but less during the second half. I will say that two lower "C" rated packs in parallel are better than one large higher rated pack. I have a nine-inch 8S FPV quad that I just flew yesterday at 3P (1530 8S GNB "160" C - LOL) and that finally did the trick - I can maintain full throttle for several seconds before I have to pull back. This gets me to 110mph@ ~6kW - awesome! A single 5200 mah pack (high-quality) can't provide that much power, in spite of it having more capacity. Thanks for all your work, Brian.

You’re totally right about the dubious C ratings. But I respectfully disagree on the over-priced comment. Peace of mind is worth something, convenience is worth something. @mlentsch2 ай бұрын
@@5280Recreation I didn't know they self-discharge - that's a nice feature. I don't care how anyone spends their money, but sometimes people coming from the "Hobby Store" paradigm don't realize that there are perhaps cheaper and higher-performing options out there. I used to be one of them. The best performing "affordable" batteries are found in the FPV racing arena. String 2 or 3 or even 4 together for the ultimate large pack. Anyway - have fun.

@@BrianPhillipsRCwhy even mention the other channels? This is your channel and your follows know what to expect. Yes other channels are pushing the envelope for a niche sector of this hobby. But you do you bro. Just my humble opinion from a fan who helped me when I first stated.

@BrianPhillipsRC I didn't take it at bashing at all. Although, I have heard Two Brothers bash the Saylors. (FMS PA-18)

In all honesty with this V2 stuff.... what we needed was LEDs... a 90mm jet is a class leading jet. No LEDs?! 😮 Ideally full span tailerons like the F18. A removable nose cone. Come on this is a long jet. We need to be able to remove the nose and it also stops breakage on bad landings and it will happen to ppl. Lastly, Thrust Vectoring option! Avanti90 is a huge hit cos of TV. Im sorry but a new paint job is not enough change to call it a V2 FMS. And come on ditch that ugly mustache pilot. Hows about a coloured pilot for a change? Or just a masked pilot for the masses.
@BrianPhillipsRC2 ай бұрын
Yeah, V2 has an 8S option...and that's about it. New livery hardly makes a V2, as you mentioned. That ugly pilot is pretty terrible. How is it we don't have some more amazing pilots...we have 3D printing now, and can make them WAY lighter too. I bet FMS and other Chinese brands get them for VERY cheap...hence they likely have a trillion left in stock, and will be used until the first man an woman move from Mars to the next planet on SpaceX'es radar. LOL! I like the one they use on the 1.2m Warbird series...but I'm more concerned about scale size match than the color of the skin.

Hey i enjoy your videos. I always watch both the maiden and the ENTIRE UB&R. Just one request, can we please stop crapping on each other in this hobby? You should set the example and start trying to collaborate or just be civil with people. Your channel your rules, i just think it comes off as insecure and distracts from the main focus of the video.

Who did I crap on? Jay Kujan - Jay's RC Garage? & Jon - Two Borthers? I talked to both of them privately this week. I'm gonna poke fun at my peer competitors, and they know it, as they do me. It's part of the fun we share with each other. It's not meant to be in bad taste. Or did I miss what you were talking about?

@TIGWeldingCreations read the spec sheet on fms site and watched this vid. No difference to what I had in the V1 last year. Only change is improved graphics on the orange one and a cool camo paint scheme option.

@ damn what a shame. I pre-ordered mine as soon as I got the email notification that pre-order was available and November 25 is when they start shipping. I don’t know how these KZbin guys got them early.? I think FMS sends it out to the big KZbin guys before everyone else.
@M4rkmcc212 ай бұрын
@@TIGWeldingCreationsthat's exactly it mate. FMS send them for free to the big hitters on YT and have some say in what they can and can't say. A little bit of truth is in there too. But remember these guys are getting paid to promote their plane. They don't want to upset the hand that's feeding them. But seriously the jets not a bad one. I hated mine as I hated the graphics on it. The new orange one looks way better and the camo is cool that's the one I'd get. Just it should've come with some improvements... LEDs or atleast a landing gear white light, full span tailerons, batter battery postion layout, removable nose cone and ideally thrust vectoring like the new Avanti90. Makes my Avanti so much fun. I'm 50/50 about ordering one. Can't see it being different or better than my Viper90 and Avanti90.

@BrianPhillipsRC Have you ever watched the Daily Rides on Revzilla? How about a ranking system of the planes you fly each year? I also like the comparison videos. It helps if I am on the fence with two airplanes.
@BrianPhillipsRC2 ай бұрын
Yeah, he makes a nice list on that whiteboard. I like the idea, but not sure we can make that work. Motorcycles are all in the same use class...we have so many different price classes, size classes, and heli's planes, VTOL's, Quad's, etc....not sure how we'd do all that. The bigger problem is that I have a hard time making a rank on these planes. I like a variety of planes, and planes that meet specific weather conditions. Part of the reason we're building a HUGE building, is to store them in an accessible way, so I can recover the planes easily on the fly. I want to be able to fly planes when I want to fly them, and right now we're just too busy, even though I'm trying to make a concept that will work to keep inventory of, pull planes, and put them away when we're done with them...so I guess what I'm trying to say, ranking is not super important to me, but I hear your ask, and get why you're asking...we just don't share that part of your concern. I don't want to be dismissive, as you're not the first or last person to ask, but I just don't have a passion for putting an order to the love and enjoyment of each experience. Some do...I'm not that guy. Hope this makes sense, and don't want you to be disappointment, but also don't want you waiting on pins and needles for something that might never happen.
