Ultra Vac Assembly for Exmark Lazer Z / Overview 2016

Hey gang, I know a lot of folks had questions about the Ultra Vac in the spring. I wanted to shoot a quick video on how the whole kit assembles and put it on the mower for you all to see.
I will tell you this kit is absolutely a beast. You can vacuum the lawn when doing clean ups and leave the lawn looking spotless. I would highly suggest checking one out if you plan to break into spring or fall clean ups with your business.

Awesome video, just bought a 2007 52 inch lazer Z with the ultravac system. did repairs to the deck and fixing odd and end issues but i got the whole mower and system for 600$, mows great. only video that i could find to confirm i was hooking the vacumm right and that had a picture of the bags so i could see the hanging bracket im missing so kudos sir! looks like im gunna save me some $ and build a few out of rebar. by the sound of it ill have to find a way to weight the front end, i get so many leaves in the fall ill have 8 inches thick if i do nothing about it. thanks for the tips sir!

Great system for small lawns or lawns with a few trees, but around here in northern illinois the yards are all over 1 acre with hundreds of trees on each yard, the only way I can clean up the leaves is with a walk behind blower

Alex A Makes sense. I like that stand on blower machine but thing was 9K at my dealer. That's just crazy. Lots of guys here used walk behind blowers in fall.

I have the same bagger and ultra vac . First time I cut without it. Lost the golden hook , go figure. Cant locate that part number on any diagrams - golden hook & bolt/nut ?

Brian- have you ever had to replace the belt on the ultra vac before, or do you take it to weingartz? Also, have you ever had to tighten/adjust the tension on the belt? I just purchased the ultra vac USED from craigslist, i had to completely take off every single bolt and nut to replace the belt, was wondering if their is an easier way? Also realized the belt is too tight to put around the double sheave on my mower deck so now looks like i have to go to weingartz cause i cant seem to get it right. Let me know ! Thanks!!

No you wouldn’t do that. The hose detaches easy yes

Does your dump allow you to use large plastic drum-liner bags? I know mine is getting ready to only accept those paper bags. Thankfully, I just bag most up and leave it at the curb or dump it in the woods.

Virginia Refuse Trucks Good question, I can't say. Never heard of anyone putting bags in the hoppers or using drums. I guess in theory but, I would just take the bags off to dump in leaf bags.

Hey Brian, I was wondering have you ever replaced the double pulley on the discharge side? Was wondering because I purchased the ultra vac with the completing kit, and Weingartz told me i have to remove the one i have which is a single pulley and put the double pulley on so the ultra vac belt will attach. No biggie i think i can do this myself, so before i do that I was wondering have you removed that double pulley before? Is it just removal of the nut ontop and swap the pulleys or is there more to it? Let me know - would save me a few hundred bucks instead of taking it to the dealer.

Got a question...i bought the chute blocker and want a bagger...but they put a pin in where drop thing is at...you removed your chute blocker like its nothing and i want a bagger. what should i do?

I like my Ultra Vac.. I just remove the chute block at the end of October and run the ultra vac all fall/next spring, and remount it. Simple..

Tyler's Video Production 6.5x12. I haven't tried with the vacuum part of the unit on, I can let you know. In the spring I took it off and on. I think it may work, I'll have to see!

Moofausa Mows Depends bud! Depends on what you can afford, what you're looking to do with it, where's the nearest dealer to service it, etc. Nothing wrong with buying used as well initially.

Wow, that is a very clever design. I'm impressed. Are the weights mandatory in the front with the catcher installed?

I've seen folks use their baggers without them but, in my experience, no way. The baggers definitely fill up very dense when you mulch the leaves once, and then vacuum them. But, this whole setup and with leaves filled weighs a ton. Definitely have to be aware of wet areas, water drainage areas, and after rainy days. Haven't got stuck yet but I've seen a ton of folks get stuck with this set up due to the weight. Thanks for watching!
