This was my moms main concern. If it makes you feel better, SS is much farther down the list. The rest of the world (Ukraine, Europe, Taiwan) are at a much more imminent risk than we are as Americans. The main issues are the ones he can do unilaterally. But remember, he’s selfish. Susie, I am 66 and 8 months and just had my SSDI changed to retirement SSI (thankfully same amount). I'm with you. I also have a daughter who I am concerned about as well. This is a world neither of us remember. It's shocking. The average IQ of this country has dropped exponentially since we were in school. It's truly astonishing. No one likes the prices of food, but the majority of our country can't think past anything to realize this is the state of the world, not just the US. The pandemic caused this. Not the democrats. I am the granddaughter of my grandmother and grandfather who immigrated from Germany after WWI. My father was in his teens during WWII living in a Polish, Italian, and German suburb of Chicago. I believe he was so disheartened by what happened in Germany that he was a powerful advocate of civil rights. We regularly discussed world affairs during the evening meal.
