Out of six different weddings in which I've been a bridesmaid, the ONE time it was a smooth process was when my BFF said she picked a specific designer. Said she wanted our bridesmaid dresses to be Black and Floor Length. And must be bought from the same store chain because the color "Black" (just like people) comes in different shades depending where you go. She sent us a catalog and we picked out what we wanted in that color, from that designer, at that length and at that store (David's Bridal). As a result of her not being a jackass, it was the ONE time I actually enjoyed the process. And because we chose the best style for ourselves, everyone was beautiful and the pictures were FIRE!!!!! All the other weddings sucked and two of the brides I don't speak to anymore because they were just like the 🤬 chick in this video (Tinnell).

Unless the bride is paying the difference for the girls then she cannot do that. 2) 500$ for a bridesmaid dress is RIDICULOUS, my mother got bridesmaids dressed for less than 100$, granted that is incredibly cheap because they were on sale, but they were originally 150$. 3) Agreeing to a wedding is basically mandatory if you would like to keep the friendship, because if you say no and you dont have a ‘good’ reason youre being a bad friend. So the least a bride can do is be reasonable with dress prices.

Some do, some don’t. I paid for my my wedding party to get their outfits for the most part. There were only a few things I didn’t pay for (shoes and a couple of vests for the groomsmen who already had vests that would work). Some of it depends on how much the outfit is and how much the bride/groom can afford. I had one bridesmaid tell me she loved a floor length dress that was $700+ but I was having a summer wedding and had decided that they would wear kneelength dresses that were between $80-$200. They were allowed to either choose from the somewhat extensive list I gave them or send me pictures of dresses they liked and we’d go from there. In the end they all wore the same dress ($145) in different colors because we were doing a sunset wedding theme.
