I let my bridesmaids pick their dress. It just had to be the same dress, and I chose the length and color. I told them to pick a dress they would wear again since they're expensive. And they did. I've seen them wear the dress at other parties and weddings. If I could do it again, I would just let them chose different styles if they wanted to, as long as it was the same color and material. My bridesmaid were different heights and very different body shapes. Forcing the same dress may not flatter all.

She has set expectations for her day and that's fine everyone has their own vision of the big day. She gave out a handbook/rules to the bridesmaids to follow when she asked them to be part of her day. They agreed to the terms. So in my opinion even if its "strict" or "demanding" they read it, and they agreed to follow, so they should follow through to the end. If you really didnt want to follow the rules a bride give and asks you to do, then dont go as a bridesmaid, dont agree to it. It's not fair to yourself (if you put yourself in that situation) or to the bride, who I assume would be a friend or family member on HER big day. To what can be seen the bride has been up right and clear with them about the rules, she didnt hide it and it wasnt a surprise to them. So basically bitching all the way to (probably even) the wedding day

I keep watching these snippets of the say yes to the dress bride and bridesmaid edition and the whole time I'm thinking these brides need to be like me. I went and found my wedding dress without the input of anyone. The first time my mom saw me in my wedding dress was when I went to have it fitted. And I picked out all 3 of my different bridesmaid dresses without the approval of my girls. They didn't see them until their fitting. Some of these brides need more backbone and some need a chill pill.
