As of Unreal Engine 5 Early Access, Bridge is now part of the Unreal Engine UI and opens up as a tab right within the engine. Drag and drop the latest Megascans content directly into your project without ever having to switch apps or download and export an asset to Unreal Engine.

This is just fucking incredible. I still have 6 months - year on my current game, but I can not wait to jump into ue5, and now with bridge support. Can not wait to play with these tools.

Cool! Do you think there will be a option to add my own content into Bridge? I have a lot of projects and I'm constantly migrating objects, sounds and shaders, but it's such a pain! I love how easy Bridge makes drag and dropping things into my projects. Being able to create my own content library using Bridge would be amazing! thanks : )

I try it and it works great, especially when dragging and dropping an asset into the current scene - pure ecstasy, but I was disappointed that Bridge doesn't find my already loaded assets, even if I manually set the destination folder. This is probably because Bridge changed the structure of the assets and master shader folders, but the prospect of reloading the entire library I recently used makes me sad, and also the fact that displacement is not included in the shader by default.

Unreal Engine 5 looks so good, like the interference is so minimal compared to ue4. I love it so much, the simplicity

I dont see the Nanite drop down in Quixel. On certain items i will see "Highest Quality" below "high" but where in this video it says "nanite"

awesome! Could we in the future get the ability to have custom channel packing directly from the Bridge? We are currently channel packing the Normals, AO(multiplied with Spec), Height into 1 map. This saves roughly 50% of textures being used.

How to properly export foliage 3D assets into Nanite? With 3D models we have "Nanite" export option but there is no "Nanite"options in foliage (for example grass clumbs).

So it's 2021, UE in its 5th version, Quixel is a part of Epic now, Bridge is integrated into Unreal, and non-albedo textures still get sampled as Color (sRGB) and generate a warning in Material Instances?

Hi, I have tried the bridge but it seems to crash when I launch it installed in UE5. Can you please fix the issue? The engine works fine without the bridge

Why there are missing categories like Atlases in Bridge plugin for unreal engine 5? I need to manually download them with the bridge app and then need to add them manually because bridge app doesnt support ue5.

QB apparently missing in UE 5.0.1 despite it being a fresh install of both engine and launcher :/ Not even appearing the vault or marketplace as a plugin

i cannot find the Quixel Bridge under the content drawer. It is also not found under Vault in the Epic game Launcher. Does anyone have a solution???

@@TRABITY I looked at the documentation and it says that it should just be there or under plugins. Neither of which work :( I guess we will just have to wait for an update

I couldn't figure it out either, but the solution is to go to the Library tab in the Launcher, and in the Vault section search for Bridge - it should pop up and you should be able to install it into 5.0A. Credit to SnackDragon on the official forums for pointing it out.

AM I THE ONLY ONE WHO CANT FIGURE OUT HOW TO MAKE THE IMPORTED QUIXEL TEXTURE BRUSHES WORK? it doesn’t allow me to select the texture i.e ripple sand. I can change to the brushes that are default in UE5 but not the quixel ones

There is an error in ue5.3.2 when I export material. " Please make sure Unreal Engine is running before exporting assets. " Even though the ue5 is running. The bridge button in ue5 is not working. I search on the forum . My problem is not resolve . The bridge was working fine with the same version last month. Now its not working.

How do i get rid of the pop up that says "go unlimited"? If i follow the instructions and sign in quixel through my epic cames acc , the pop up still continues ?

I get a 'This browser or app may not be secure. Try using a different browser. If you’re already using a supported browser, you can refresh your screen and try again to sign in.' when trying to sign into quixel through bridge

Awesome ... I literally just tried to copy and paste the metahuman folder from bridge to ue4.26 content and it failed. So looking forward to trying this in UE5. Man that looks so smooth.

Hi, for the people where it not showing up in Plugins in Unreal Editor > Make sure you installed it in /Engine/Plugins/ folder. If you see the Plugin in the folder but not in Editor, delete Plugin and go to Bridge and go to top-left corner "Edit". "Export Settings" install it again. Somehow it will work now. :p

I already have a libary with assets from the standalone bridge how I bring them in the Bridge integrated in Unreal engine so that I dont have to download them again?

Might have to manually locate the files with the integrated version if you don't want to reinstall assets. Idk for sure though try emailing them or watching a tutorial when one comes out.

I cant get any of my custom textures/materials to appear on the Bridge inside UE5, they are on Bridge if open by itself. Does anybody know a solution to import them?

It has to be intimidating for developers to use mega scans. Since the quality is so high, their own assets will stand out as inferior.

If the art direction of your project is photorealistic, then you (or the teams artist/designer) should be able to create photorealistic assets to begin with lol. Quixel is the perfect suite for reference on how to make your own 3d assets, with tools like zbrush and blender together with mixer you can easily achieve the same level of detail. It just takes time to do. Or you can go out and use a decent phone/camera to do photogrammetry. In either case if your goal is to match quixel's quality, you should be able to do so.

Hmm, just dragging the asset from Bridge to the Viewport doesn't seem to work for me. Just says: "Successfully exported 1 assets". Doesn't show up in my level, can't see it in the Content Drawer either. Any help? Cheers!

For me I download the asset in the quixel window and then hitting the plus symbol doesn't do anything, and there's no way to drag it into the scene either...

@@Ohmriginal722 I gave up in the end and tried the BEST SOLUTION EVER: restart PC. And it worked after that. Simple engine restart didn't "fix it".

I think the problem was that I already the bridge app downloaded. I deleted the bridge app, removed UE5, restarted my pc, and reinstalled UE5 early access. It works for me now.

@@yugsahu7388 oh yea i reinstalled UE5 and the Epic Games Launcher installed Quixel bridge itself, I think the problem was starting the "Demo Project" download while installing the engine

@@mazinnasra5570 I posted on the forum and they said that the UE5 bridge uses .uasset files so the stuff you already have on disc won't be available. You have to download everything again. It would be nice to have a converter or something.

Bridge won't let me log in, says browser is unsafe despite google credentials and google as my browser. Was so excited and then..depressed haha. If anyone knows the fix let me know please. :'( (Bridge standalone logs in just fine, though whenever standalone update came out I'd have to do a fresh install or risk a Java error when logging in).
