I 'm from Sri Lanka.This movie shooted in Kitulgala of Sri Lanka. It almost have taken 2 years to complete. This rever called in the Sri Lanka Kelani river.If you come to Kitulgala in Sri Lanka you can see the train wreck in the river and some parts of the bridge.

this is the trailer. i wouldn't mind seeing it again - can't find it on youtube. don't go by numbers of clicks to determine popularity. they number of clicks depend on too many factors and can actually be manipulated. this is the sony channel - i'm sure plenty of links uploaded by people who forgot about copyright - 'unauthorized uploads' have been removed over the years and plenty of people are aware of how good this film is. written by the same guy who wrote 'planet of the apes' a great book too ( the film has its moments too)

I think ripped off is a bit harsh, but if you know what to look for you can spot scenes and elements taken from _Flash Gordon_, The Wizard of Oz_, Forbidden Planet_, _Star Trek_, _Silent Running_ (1973), and others, in the original trilogy. Humanity progresses by building on the work of preceding generations. Of course, intellectual property rights, to include patents and copyrights, should be respected.

Dude, it IS The Bridge ON the River Kwai, but it is based on a novel called The Bridge OVER the River Kwai (original French title : Le pont de la rivière Kwai which literally translates to The Bridge OF the River Kwai). There's no need for any of that CIA/ Mandela Effect nonsense.
