I think you're correct in that the customer was hoping that you would cover the cost on this one. Glad to see you doing your homework.

Good eye for sure, seems to be best to change both boots 😊 Very good job 😊

Definitely best practice but it looked like the other one was already replaced at some point because it was in perfect shape. Maybe this cylinder has been getting hotter causing the cracking and almost melting look to it. Thank you!

Nice job catching that tiny arc and I'm glad you had the pic of the TRUE hours from the previous repair. 🤣👍
@IndRepair5 сағат бұрын
Haha thank you! I sure am glad to have had it too. This was something completely different but if it turned out to be a similar repair we may have seen some issues. Thanks for watching!

Could a weak damaged plug also cause this where it not getting a good grounding 😮
@IndRepair5 сағат бұрын
For sure! A cracked plug can sometimes cause the same issue where it will jump back to ground somewhere other than the outside edge

What was that thing you took about that needs the o-ring
@IndRepair9 сағат бұрын
It is a crankcase breather
@rickbroerman92678 сағат бұрын
I've never noticed one like that before. What engines have the O-ring like that.

Yeah for sure! Ha I am not positive that was what he was getting at he was really nice just mentioning it with such surety made me think if the issue was any way similar (sounded like it was similar) I would be hearing about it
