Bright, 68k campervan. Dreamer D68 Limited - 2023 version.

Possibly it should have been mentioned that Dreamer are part of the Rapido group, and Rapido do a very similar van the V68. The main difference being that the V68 does not have a cupboard along the rear of the van. This means that you can sit up in bed without banging your head. Also these vans are available on the Ducato chassis if you want an auto box. I have ordered a V68 and hope to get it next spring. Also in case anyone is alarmed at the thought of a boiler under your bed, its actually under the bench seat in the lounge. Thanks for the review Alan, much appreciated.

I particularly like this campervan Alan. It's light and bright and appears very spacious. The washroom is of a good size and the large double bed or twin single beds if you prefer are great too.

If you order a Fiat based PVC now expect to take delivery sometime 2024!. Myself and around a dozen others, having put down deposits on Dreamers in the summer of 2021 at one of the few dealers available, are still waiting for our MHs to arrive. 'By the end of the year' is the best quote given by our acclaimed and trusted Dreamer dealer. The industry at the moment is in a wholly uncharted mess and will be for some time with some manufacturers unable even to fix prices for potential customers, and unable to take orders. If you're lucky to have an order accepted then allow a very long time for delivery like we did. I would say hold on to your existing trade in until the very last moment as you could be stuck without wheels....

I really like the look of this. Why is the plug hole in the shower a bad idea though?

Large plugs are better to get filters to stop bits of sand etc going down and blocking the pipes.

Shower trays normally have two plug holes. the reason for this is in case the van is not level, and there will always be one drain that will be at the lowest point. But what Alan may have missed was the shower tray on this van is not flat, and the drain is at the lowest point of the shower tray, meaning even if the van is not level the drain will still be a the lowest point.

Like this one but it has a few features I find frustrating on my own Ducato based van. That bed design is sub-optimal for folk that move around in their sleep as your legs and up dangling in thin air below the knee. Also the location of the light switches in the main living area is a pain as you inadvertently turn them on and off with your back side.

I don't understand these types of beds. It looks like a hassle to put together and how are the bed sheets placed on? Presumably the bed is left always made? Otherwise having to make it up every day and playing tetris with the cushions seems tedious!

And that is a relatively easy bed - you should see some of the others!

They are fixed beds there’s nothing to put together. You simply make the beds up the same way you do at home. You put the bed sheets on the bed. You can swing them up to create more storage when travelling for say a bike.

Do you have to have a C1 license to drive this?

The standard model is a 3.5 ton which can be driven on a normal licence with a 400kg payload. You can take the 4.25 ton chassis, then a C1 licence would be required.
