Always blows me away seeing clips like this where people talk through the whole set.

Beautiful. With a house full of people talking and not paying attention at all and you can see the emotion and hear the desperation in words that make such unbelievable pain a little bit more tolerable...THANK YOU BRIGHT EYES.
@stevenkrajniak78285 жыл бұрын
i thought that but there were people listening, the camera was catching the noise of those near the camera near the bar i think

33:29 is probably my favorite version of Messenger Bird’s song. There’s just something really special about it. Conor seems messed up during it, either slightly intoxicated or just really feeling the music. He shows so much emotion too. One minute he’s calm, slightly sad and reflecting. The next he’s almost angrily yelling about this frustrating relationship that doesn’t quite make sense to him. Yet through all of it, clearly showing love within the lyrics. Even the people talking in the background adds to it. It gives me the same feeling as walking around in public, feeling things that you wish you could explain to everyone you meet, and they just don’t notice or know what’s going on. Then for around half of the song he stares directly into the camera. Like he found the person that would actually listen to what he needs to express. The whole thing is so beautiful. Then he forgets about the camera, like eventually passing someone on the street, and continues to reflect on his own. I’m probably over analyzing the whole thing. But to me it’s one of those perfect recordings Messenger Bird’s Song. This is the only version I listen to when I want to hear the song now. I’ve probably watched that specific part at least 30+ times over the years.

He seems high on some sort of stimulant and goes in and out of passivity and intensity.

Omg I was at that show! That was one of my favorites because it was SO small. I have a lot of great photos from that show. I don’t remember the talking being so loud, I kinda wonder if the camera was picking up the sound differently.

I get being at a show with friends and enjoying the atmosphere but damn give this man your attention. Stop talking so damn much and listen. You paid money for this why talk through it. I would love to see this man live. 2002 or 2020 it don’t matter.

"take that fucking shit off my voice" perfect. He's the only musician I have heard actually tell a sound guy to fix a problem. Normally they just go with it, but not Conor... Ugh perfect.
@whithuk10 жыл бұрын
Andrew Tate I've seen LOADS of bands get their set royally fucked over by sound guys not doing a good job, and honestly it pisses the audence off, and the musician. And if you really want to get into this, it's his job to do the sound, and he didn't do it very well, and Conor called him out. Do your job better. lol THAT and Conor was most likely drunk. But serously sound guys just need to be better at their job. lol :p
