The Flash Palette from Make Up For Ever is such a great multi purpose product for your kit and can be used to create really bright eye makeup looks like the one I am going to demonstrate in this video.

Hi, Angie. Could you please show how you handle large patches of hyperpigmentation? I have a hard time getting my face to be one overall shade. Yes, all the MAC brushes I use are natural fibre - the new MAC brushes are all synthetic now. The ones I use in my videos are unavailable for purchase in their original form which is why they aren't linked. It was getting confusing for some of the viewers.

I’m not sure! It’s really hard for me to help with application related questions when I can’t be there in person. It could be your skin, skin prep, the product you are using, how you are using it, what brush etc. all of these things can cause patchy cheeks.

So fresh! I need to get the flash palette now! it was out of stock for a long time and then I heard that it changed from grease based to silicone. Do you have one of the newer ones or an older one? What shades of face and body do you carry? That is also next on my list. I got my MAC Pro card and need to add the FB, studio fix powders and concealers. But first I gotta get that flash palette!

Yes the new flash palette is silicone based and that is the one I have. I carry C1, 3 and 6 in F&B those are my most commonly used shades.

Can you set these with translucent setting powder on the eyes, as opposed to similar colored eyeshadow without losing pigmentation? Like RCMA no color powder or the Laura Mercier translucent powder? I understand why using eyeshadow makes sense, just wondering what the alternative would be if you don't have a matching shadow on you at the time.

RCMA No Color Powder would be a good option, depending on how much powder you use it can sometimes dull the colour of the MUFE Flash Colour so you would have to experiment.

Yes! You can get a bright eye really fast with the Flash Palette vs having to pack on shadow which can be time consuming and messy.

Is the reason for using the flash colours longevity, since you do have the colours in your palette?

In this instance I used the palette to build a bright vibrant eye fairly quickly. So pigment and brightness were the reasons I chose this palette for this look - they are bright on their own or as a base for shadow.

I wouldn't, it's not going to stay put there very long.

It's a wax based product so generally smells like crayons I find, I replace mine every 1.5 - 2 years (it's the same with all my cream products).

I can't answer that because it would largely depend on your technique, tools, and skin prep. I will sometimes use Benefit PoreFessional Primer but very rarely, I find with the brands I use and my technique for application, I usually don't need it.

I don’t use the flash palette in the waterline personally so I don’t have an answer for you.

How do you remove the excess of ambryolysse on the skin? With fingers or cotton pad?

I like to use a sponge usually. I don't like touching the face with my fingers that much, and cotton pads can sometimes shed on the skin.

Yes they will crease if not set. I mentioned at one point in the video for longevity they need to be set which is why I set them with eyeshadow in this demo.

Hi Angie, I have a question about eyebrows. I noticed here you didnt remove or clean up the brows. I actually notice that on most of your videos you dont clean the brows. When do you or should you clean/groom the brows?

I don't touch brows usually ever (that's just my way of doing things). The only time I will tweeze/groom anything is when I am working on a beauty shoot/campaign and it has been cleared by all parties involved that I can tweeze/shave stray hairs (client, model, model's agent). Other than that it's not my job to be responsible for hair removal (clients need to take that up with their brow person), there is also a pretty serious hygiene issue when tweezing especially because you can draw blood. I do carry disposable tiny brow razors if for whatever reason my clients need me to do something with the brows but it would just be clearing tiny strays and no reshaping of any sort. Also this particular model does not need any brow grooming, her brows are amazing the way they are and will likely be a feature she becomes known for in her career.
