For Sa, it depends on how wolves are going to play. When he never has to leave his 6-yard box he can be one of the best keepers in the league. I believe one of the reasons sa was so good during the 21/22 season was because we consistently played with a back 3 that always stayed near to him - so he never had to consider much beyond his 6-yard box. Once he has to beyond that - playing with a higher line and fewer defenders - his flaws quickly come in. If we are going to play in a similar setup to last weekend- sa is an obvious choice. ...but that brings up the question of wasting £10m to bring Johnson in. When were desperate for that money for a cb. Seems the summer transfer window was used primarily to play a style which now just doesn't work.

I agree with you, Dave 💯 Sa, to start! But I think you might be right! As per usual, you're, team selection looks good 👍🏻 Fingers crossed Dave 🤞 COYW, Always Wolves 🐺

The games against Brighton haven’t been close but rather uneven for the most part. 3-0, 6-0, 4-1. We might as well play Arsenal.

If the keeper decision goes awry I reckon the fans will slaughter him and TBH as supportive as I've been of GON (and I really have been) I'll be tempted to join them. Sa should 100% be keeping that jersey tomorrow..... I simply don't see how Johnstone is any kind of upgrade on Jose, and Sa's Citeh performance has earned him a start for me, no questions. I think there are possibly issues with GON and Sa, maybe related to Sa's attitude previously and willingness to ship out but that needs to be put aside if it is the case, we need performances, not egos and Sa performed very well last w/e.

The only reason for O'Neil to pick Johnstone after last week would be to prove himself right regarding buying Johnstone in the first place.

As per your Wolves - City podcast, Dave - Sa v Johnstone - what's the differ, what we really needed was a CH. Anyway, ideally from GON's point of view, we need to be taking something from this fixture, 1 or 3 (ideally). Not so much this one, but, the next two will seal his future.

Sa last week was the best goal keeping performance by any so far this season for us, he has to start. In a back 3 he’s confident with what’s in front of him. Look at the previous seasons

I think Jose Sa probably made it known to the management that he wanted to go to Saudi, put wolves in a panic to buy a new keeper. Now the move didn't materialize and he's stuck at wolves, but gaffer wants to stick with a keeper he can trust to be here and not thinking about a move. This is probably the only scenario where I would give O'Neil the grace of dropping Sa.

Totally agree with this.... If Sa doesn't wish to be at the club I'm afraid you have to look elsewhere I'm afraid

I'm a Sa fan myself and I'll be disappointed, though not surprised, if Sam Johnstone is selected for the Brighton game. In my opinion Sa is a significantly better keeper. The and/or Lemina/Andre issue to me seems the more difficult one to resolve. We only need one to 'pivot' in midfield and then we can play both Gomes and Doyle to do all the essential middle of the park legwork when we don't have the ball, harassing, spoiling and tackling to derail the opposition build up. It seems to me that Andre is the superior in the role of being free to recieve the ball when it is won back and then to settle and establish good possession, he's more reliable and consistent. BUT, Lemina is the much better option for moving things forward and taking risks in order to launch quick counter attacks. My natural inclination is caution, rather than risk, and so Andre above Lemina. And that would be fine if we were getting results and winning points and unfortunately the situation is that we desperately need points now and we may not have time for caution. Gambling ever more riskily on open, vulnerable play, and hoping that just for once the footballing gods will smile on us, is a temptation. But is it the best option? More defensive strategies may be better to stem the tsunami of conceded goals we have suffered, but such timidity comes in for huge criticism from fans, who love to see swash-buckling performances. Still only having one point from eight games really ups the ante to get it right. dylanwolf in the billyQ

If we lose to Brighton Gary may be gone by Monday morning
@jackmullin896218 күн бұрын
Been hearing the same for weeks, doesn't matter keep losing and he's still in the job. Owners and board don't have a clue and doubt they have any replacements / plan in place. Will be sorted in a few months when it's too late.

Look what Nuno is doing with Forest, and we have Gary, a guy who couldnt beat Coventry at Molineux😢. Said it so many times but SURELY this is Gary's last game? Brighton 3 nil, Gary gone by Saturday evening. Club should have sacked him a month ago.

Will prob end up winning somehow today.... 🤔 law of maths bout to win one at some point. Don't care either way anymore as club hasn't been run properly for years. Don't rate shi, hobbs or Gary anymore. So out of touch with the fans.

This season the luck has run out I think, for the first time since we've come up I feel relegation is an inevitability. Jeff Shi has made the club weaker every season since Nuno left. @@jackmullin8962

Johnstone will start and he’s really poor. Lemina is way out of form but he’ll start as well. I expect Brighton to crush us in a goal fest. 5-2 Brighton.
