Simon: I’m gonna fall for a fork *fell for a fork* Quite amusing

Genuinely Simon Williams’ commentary is top tier, much prefer watching his vids over Levy’s

Gotta watch out for Simon -he has the same b-date as Magnus Carlson!!

One thing is for sure, nearly every grandmaster who plays Levy is noticeably nervous.

Cause now he' s a lot dangerous and they know..his strength and confidence is almost at Gm level
@zamzamxiv2 ай бұрын
@@andrearomani2503I think partially because chess is normally not on any big stage, and levy is easily the biggest chess content creator on KZbin, so I think people get in their heads about analysis being done on their games, so they don’t want to mess up
@andrearomani25032 ай бұрын
@@zamzamxiv for sure this is partially one of the reasons but it's not the Main reason at all cause otherwise he would start to crush people earlier ..

In blitz only really ( and bullet to some extent). No gm is afraid of him in classical.
@sam27252 ай бұрын
Yeah, not because they are worried about his skills, but because it will be embarrassing losing to him

Levy might be one of the scariest IMs who is not a kid. He is no joke in a time scrable and plays like a GM when the nerves does not get to him. The fact that you know he might be recording/streaming the game might be the biggest factor, and will work to Levy’s advantage 9/10 times.

I think your thinking too much dude. Simon's elo is lower than gothams. They are both evenly matched in blitz. There's not much difference between a good IM and a GM. John Bartholomew has beaten TONS of GMs. It's got nothing to do with streaming or Gorham being particularly scary, he's just strong. He playslike a GM all the time. He's also way younger than Simon, which matters in online blitz.

Levy Robson seems so much more confident these days, he's seeming like the one with the chill gm personality whereas all his opponents are starting to panic with nerves and lose their minds

Queen E2 is the worst move he could of played because it prevented the knight from ever moving, he pinned himself with a bishop takes bishop, bishop takes queen.

Im sure im in no position to give advise in chess but a major weakness in all chess players is seeking something by force and speed when you outta be patient. Patience is so important, and so underrated, you can force the other player to move backwards and you move forwards and it still a draw with perfect play.
