I'm actually impressed it went along pretty good with all those kids on it it's still pedaled pretty nice but if a person's single person gets on there by himself it was cruising along pretty good yep I'm impressed

You could make the boat a little longer and a bit wider two sets of pedals and a river boat paddle it would be more realistic.
Tolle Ideen, aber warum liegt soviel Müll auf dem Strand?

Greetings from Guatemala. Great video. About 2 weeks ago I started researching and designing a small pedal bicycle driven catamaran. So in many ways the boat I am trying to decide how to build will be similar to your boat. The small Maya village where I live, is on a beautiful lake, and I am building this boat solely to be used on this lake. I do plan on making a much lighter catamaran than you have built. However, my catamaran will be basically for one person, and I am very sure my catamaran will be safe to take out on the lake. No matter how choppy and rough the lake waters are, my boat will not sink, and it will not break up. Often in the afternoon, a strong wind comes up, and the waters get very choppy and rough. I have no idea if I will then find the catamaran ride very uncomfortable, or if I will find it a really fun exciting ride, and a ride that I would want to do as often as possible. Like in all the videos I have seen on pedal driven boats, you are using some kind of shaft to connect the power mechanism (your pedaling), to the propeller fan. I would like to know if it would work if I connected the bike pedal gear to a BLDC motor that is setup to be a generator, and then wired that generator to a motor close to the propeller. It seems to me that this would make experimenting and rearranging where to put the propeller much easier. Also, at some point I plan to add a motor and battery to the boat, to make it go faster. I suspect it will be easier to combine the power of this new motor, with the power of the human bike pedlar, if the boat already is using this generator wired to motor connection, instead of a shaft connection. You are using one propeller. I would like to know what you think about the idea of using 2 propellers. It seems to me that if you could setup a circuit to control the speed of each propeller fan, you could use the propellers, instead of a rudder to steer the boat. At this point in time I have no idea which setup - rudder or two propellers is better.

Where's the engine ? Anything that size that is human powered should be pladtic/polystyrene so it is very light and easy to pedal. Something made from. Metal that size needs a 125cc ICE. The cloned honda CG engine from China on alibaba cost $75.

pretty cool the turn radius you ca get out of that Catamaran , in the early 1990s i was living in the Maryland Suburbs and one of my pastimes was boating and playing on a section of whats refered to as the Upper Potomac River it’s a beautiful place and is fairly Peaceful i’ve seen all types of Watercraft being used there from Personal Watercraft to Amphibious Automobiles but the one that really caught my attention was a repurposed Aluminum Pontoon boat that was propelled by 6 Road bicycles welded together and using the original Sprocket and Cranks with a rediculously long bike chain to drive the lower sections of several small out board engines a Propeller systems it was built by a local Road Bike Club and sort of crude IMO i did wait on the River to see how well it performed and despite several men pedaling like crazy the rig was fairly slow indication to me they had their gearing pretty far off because there was a serious amount of Cavitation the guys weren’t that discouraged as they were out on their MaidenVoyage and the bike was to be used as a training tool anyway and to have some fun with i lived there for 25 years and never saw that boat again

Only thing I seen was you build this thing which was nice but how does it run what three seconds of you peddling this thing going 5 ft that's no test that's no video you spent more time putting stickers on this thing and bullshiting around so where's the part of you tested this bike seeing how fast it goes how's the mobility how does it handle I'm not going to give it a thumbs up and I'm not giving it a thumbs down very disappointing video
