PF Chang’s is actually a pretty fancy Chinese restaurant, an appetizer and a main with rice would probably cost around £40 or more. Their dynamite shrimp and Mongolian beef are incredible

So this episode did come about a month after South Park won the Emmy for Outstanding Animated Program for the Make Love Not Warcraft episode. And so, in typical South Park fashion, they decide to celebrate their win by making an episode all about poo, and constantly referencing the fact that this poo episode is now part of an Emmy award winning series. 😂😂😂 (Doesn’t make up for the fact that they were cheated out of an Academy Award for Blame Canada in 99 but I digress) I just love that Matt and Trey are so self-aware* that they didn’t let it go to their heads or try to be more respectable than they had been, and just carried on being the show they always were… but even when intentionally making a poo episode, they’re still able to deliver some pretty clever satire about how people who are purportedly the best at everything can still be, well, a piece of crap. That’s something only South Park could do. 🤣 *(Or at least, they were. I think you could make an argument that’s no longer the case with some later seasons but we’ll get there when we get there.)
