Hershey’s chocolate is more like candy compared to European chocolate or a couple other brands in America that are starting to be recognized as European in taste. even being a kid in America at that time I knew the difference between cheap Hershey’s and a good European chocolate, so a lot of Americans do recognize the difference in spite of what the rest of the world says

If you want an idea of what sweet potato casserole tastes like, next time you have them put on butter and lots of brown sugar. Then you’ll be able to imagine with pecans and marshmallows! You could make it. It’s not hard. 😂

Hershey’s is to chocolate what McDonald’s is (or at least was) to hamburgers. It’s cheaply made, mass produced, but the ready availability made it popular and sometimes you aren’t really looking for a fine dining experience but just some cheap junk food.

1/4 part peanut butter and 2/3 part honey mixed together, spead on toast, yum. If you are going to try P&J, get quality jam or preserves, not jelly for your first experience. It definately makes a difference.

Over here in Oregon, we generally eat chicken and waffles for breakfast or brunch. We also often have breakfast for dinner traditions, meaning they are for any meal. Most corn dogs are crispy outside and soft inside. Some of them use pancake batter instead of corn meal, but those are less common. Even if American cheese isn't your thing personally, grilled cheese can be made with any cheese that isn't massively aged. Most young cheeses paired with a variety of breads make for amazing grilled cheese sandwiches. Moreover, they are the texture part of most any hot soup meal. When you feel like cooking an impressive date night, you choose a hot soup and a bread-cheese pairing that compliment each other well. You find yourself with a gorgeous crispy and gooey grilled cheese to dip into your most hearty soup or stew. Truly an American staple for sure. Most of America doesn't sit quite as North on the world as the U.K., but we still get cold here several month out of the year most places. Grilled cheese and soup is a hard meal to beat when it's cold and rainy.

Much of the U.S. gets quite a bit colder in winter than the U.K. We don't get cold and rainy, we get cold, icy, and snowy.

There is an earlier version of chicken and waffles but the "famous" version started in Harlem. I've seen it said that a restaurant in Harlem started it because between breakfast and dinner musicians were getting done doing their sets. Some wanted breakfast, some wanted dinner, and some wanted both. So they combined them into one meal.

I just read an article recently that said the TSA has labeled peanut butter a liquid & you have to follow the rules for ounces allowed on a plane, so that means you can’t pack a jar. 🤷🏼♀️

Two of my favorite southern breakfasts: Shrimp and grits, and fish and grits. The Cadbury's here tastes different from the Cadbury's over there -- don't know why. Leftover grits that have been refrigerated can be cut into squares, dusted or pressed in flour and fried in butter. Yummy. Serve it like you would polenta. Also, I love my fried chicken drizzled with honey.

Korean style corndogs like to play with the crispy on outside thing by using different coatings. Traditional corndogs use cornmeal batter and that doesnt get too crispy. But it has a gritty, almost crunchy texture and it is sweet and savoury in a way you must try before moving onto the korean stuff!

Grits are similar to the Italian polenta, if you've had that. Both are made from cornmeal. Grits are white corn and are usually coarser ground, and polenta is often cooked to a firmer consistency, but overall they're fairly similar.

My wife started to make and bake bread at home as a hobby, and that's really the first time it really clicked in my head how much sweeteners are used in commercial bread production. And the American cheese being illegal to call cheese is only half true. The American cheese you can get sliced at a deli almost always are 100% real cheese. The cheese that you find in the individual wrapping (Kraft singles), cheese whizz, or Velveeta definitely are a 'cheese product' where cheese is an ingredient, but cannot be called 100% cheese.

Well if you want a taste of some good American treats here’s a recipe you will be able to make very easily at home! Homemade chocolate chip cookies! Ingredients 1 stick of butter 1/2 cup each of brown and white sugar 1 egg 1/2 teaspoon of salt and baking powder 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract 1/2-1 cup of flour 1 cup of chocolate chips Set your oven to 180•C to preheat then on your stove brown the stick of butter set it into a bowl to cool for five minutes get your baking spatula and mix in your sugars into the butter add in your egg mix until you have a lava like consistency then add your vanilla salt and baking soda mix to combine well then finally add your flour and chocolate chips at the same time mix until no white from the flour remains then make your dough balls or spoon drop it on a baking sheet with parchment paper then toss in your oven and bake for 12 minutes enjoy!

For the longest time, as an American, I hated chocolate for the longest time because all I ever had was Hershey's. It just tasted horrible... But then I had good chocolate, like Lindel or Giradelli (I might have spelled those wrong) and realized it wasn't all chocolate.

I'm a true lover of peanut butter. .My favorite combination is peanut butter and kosher dill pickles. I loved peanut butter and jam sandwiches when I was a child. But when you remember that a peanut is a legume, you can understand, and enjoy, peanut butter on a hamburger or in an Asian chicken dish. Yumm.

There’s a little restaurant in Cincinnati Ohio called the root beer stand, they make there own root beer from scratch but the best ingredient is the water they use to make it with. It’s the best root beer I’ve ever tried,

I think this may be a Southern chain but Ward's is a diner-type place that has a specially-made rootbeer, it's got this rich caramelized-vanilla twist to it that's almost like Harry Potter butterbeer. adding sweet vanilla syrup to regular rootbeer somewhat replicates the flavor.

Chicken with waffles you can have anytime of the day, so it's every meal meal. When the corndog is fried it's crunchy on the outside and soft in the inside. The one you oooo on it has cheese on the outside of it. I don't put brown sugar on my toast, I put cinnamon and sugar on my toast and I mix it. With my peanut butter, I have it with honey on my sandwich.

When u can you need to try root beer with vanilla ice cream that’s the only way I drink root beer… you also need to try cinnamon toast….. first mix sugar and cinnamon (equal parts or a lil more sugar to make sweeter) put the bread in a toaster and as soon as it pops up spread butter so the butter will melt and then shake the cinnamon sugar mix on the bread it’s sooooo good

No, Lewis, Grits are not "mashed" corn. The kernels are removed from the cob and dried. Once they're dry, the kernels are ground into "Corn Meal". The corn meal is used to make a porridge similar to polenta. Another use for corn meal is Corn Bread or Corn Muffins.
