This must be older because Florida is just like Tennessee now. You don’t need a permit to open carry or conceal carry anymore however, the drug baggies, possibly drunk, and fighting with officers automatically negates your right to carry a firearm not to mention she’s a felon. In fact even if she had weed legally she can’t have a firearm. It’s one or the other. This lady is full of crap!

You should ALWAYS comply with the officers and do the arguing in Court. If you comply, they have less to charge you with and may even let other minor ones slide. Compliance could mean the difference between going home or going to jail. And your permit should be in your wallet right behind your Driver's License at all times. She didn't leave HER drivers license back in Virginia, did she?

Hi Kabir, a rent-a-cop isn't a sworn peace officer. My wife was a police dispatcher, but not an officer. If she wanted to, she could have faked it pretty easy being that she knew all of the lingo and codes. I had an uncle who was an armed prison guard for 27 years, but once again, he wasn't a peace officer.

The difference between a felony and misdemeanor is time in jail/prison. Misdemeanor is up to one year; felony is one year or more. A 3rd degree felony is the least severe of crime.

depending on her record they will probably run everything concurrent probably get 2 - 5 years but the feds can also pick up the case since they have drugs and guns together then you're looking at 10+ possibly
