Having rebuilt many many gearboxes .you need to get yourself a hotplate..and that way you can fit gears bearings etc easily ..ZF who's boxes i do recommend them ,they usually give the temp to get them too but experience usually tells you when it is hot enough

That be a rover SD1 gearbox, P6 had a 4 speed. Great video tho, excellent stuff

@@BritannicaRestorations also fitted to the TR7, V8 MGB, and tvr, Morgan and a whole lot of other peculiar stuff. A good all rounder. P,6 gearbox is a derivative of the p4 gearbox, smooth aluminium casing similar to the series gearbox. I have a workshop manual for the sd1, if you would like a copy of the gearbox section for reference, I can mail you a copy. Cheers
