I honestly can't comprehend how British people don't rinse off the soap. Everyone in the US that I know always rinses the soap off of their dishes. Like, I'll literally be doing dishes and put something in the drying rack then realize there's still a tiny spot of soap and I take it right out and rinse it off.

@@trevorwoodley3897 I think that some people might but most ppl wouldn't. From whay I've learned from Luka, they tend to have small kitchens so idk if they'd have space. But that's just a guess. Also, why are we talking about dishwashers?🤔

@@leilam.g.1875 your supposition is plausible. I mentioned dishwashers because it boggles my mind that they don't rinse; I thought "if they're too lazy to rinse why not use/buy a dishwasher?" Then I realized that if they're too cheap to rinse the damn dishes (supposedly to save water), they certainly wouldn't spring for a dishwasher. Never mind the fact that dishwashers in most cases use less water than hand washing.

Not to contradict or play down the US healthcare capabilities because they are pretty amazing & in some cases, damn near supernatural. Also, In some cases, it's harder to plan a nice dinner out with someone than it is to get in to see a doctor. However, the down side to this is, you can easily be out $100 US before you even finish signing-in to see an actual doctor & that's with health insurance.

I had a coworker who moved here from Canada. She came here so her husband could get a life-saving surgery. They refused to do it in Canada. They told her they would give him end of life care to make his passing comfortable, but they felt it was a waste of resources to do the surgery. Here's the real kicker...she had the money to pay for the surgery in CASH...in full. the pay for the full cost of the surgery. They refused. So she packed up, and took her husband to America where they performed the surgery and extended his life over 10 years. She never went back to Canada.

Live in the U.S. and most Americans that I've seen wash dishes by hand do it the following way: 1) washes the dishes in groups, starting with glasses and silverware (which we think need to be cleanest), then items used in serving (plates/bowls/etc) and ending with pots/pans used for cooking as they are the dirtiest, and need to soak the longest in soap to break the grease and loosen the baked-on food. 2) puts each group into one sink that's full of soapy water. They're soaking while you're hand-scrubbing each piece, then putting that piece into the rinse. That part was missed in the video you watched. 3) puts into the rinsing sink. If they haven't filled that full of water, we rinse the dishes directly with the tap. If put into a rinsing sink full of water, then will still rinse further using the tap before putting into the drying rack. 4) puts into the drying rack, often a rack that drains into the rinsing sink 5) hand-dries most of the bigger dishes and puts them away, as otherwise the drying rack will not be able to handle the volume of dishes In any case, we normally take great care to rinse soap off thoroughly because Americans generally hate bitter flavors, which is why so much of our food is often so sweet. Also, if you intake soap into your digestive system it wrecks the mucous coating of your stomach or intestines and causes a level of discomfort and even diarrhea relative to the amount of soap. Think about how prisoners famously will ingest soap in order to get themselves into the prison clinics at times.

I'm in the US, and I scrub the less dirty stuff first and then rinse with hot water and have the crusty dishes soak in that rinse water so when I get to them the food will have already been softened and thus easily scrubbed off. BTW, I do a two part wash, use the green rough scrubby to make sure all the bits are loosened, then I use a soapy wash cloth to wipe down the dish, glass, silverware to make sure there are no oils, then I rinse with hot water while wiping the surface with my hands to make sure there is no soap residue. Then I put on the drying rack.

In the usa the costumer service representative simply asks if you need any help. This is because the stores are huge and sell so many things. Its hard to find certain things if you havent been there before for this type of item. Most stores have multiples of items in the back to refill things. Sometimes they have sizes and or colors of clothing not on the floor same with food and pretty much anything else. If you dont want to be bothered and dont have any questions. You simply answer no whwn they ask if you need help. They will say ok and leave you alone. Also even if they do help you. They womt follow you around and mske suggestions or anything like that's. Unless you ask their opinion. If so your asking for it.

You are correct about health care. Free creates long waits, and strips competition, thus level of care. My friend is in Canada, with 'free' care they spend a fortune in taxes for. We had the same very painful issue, needing surgery. I waited 6 days for surgery, she waited 9 months. Yes, at stores they not only will find the item at another stoe but when I worked for a retailer, and shipping item got lost, we had authority to put our employees on airplanes to hand deliver replacements of the clothing to them in certain situations, like person bought item to go to a wedding or a work event.

I’m from the US my husband is from England and his father is a doctor. Every time I hear “free healthcare”... who is paying the doctors, nurses... etc, etc? I’m definitely not saying our healthcare is perfect, especially after the “Affordable Care Act”. Here , I can be seen within a day or an hour or less if need be. Only covid has created long waiting periods for us. I absolutely agree that everything is over-priced and big pharma has too much power, but healthcare is not free anywhere, it’s called taxes. Yes, everyone in UK and Sweden, etc are paying for healthcare. I have a good friend from Switzerland who was in the US living at the time here , on campus with me, and was diagnosed with cervical cancer. She was a nurse in Switzerland and she cried and told me she was grateful to have been diagnosed in the US because she believes she would’ve died in Switzerland due to the long waiting times. She fully recovered here and said it was the best and fastest healthcare service she’d ever seen and experienced . Again I am not saying our system is perfect, it is not, but I honestly rather be seen quickly with amazing and caring doctors, then have to wait six months to be seen and then potentially be way worse off even if they are amazing and caring doctors. Does that make sense? LOL sorry this is crazy long!

We do not want that. 80 to 90 percent of Americans do not have that. We do not want. The news media wants us to have that and politicians so they can control us. We can change things. Stop subsidizing our medications so their medications are cheaper overseas. We subsidize their healthcare in Europe. What they want us to do is to get medicaid equal healthcare for all and they will say it is fair. Not good. I know British healthcare workers in the USA doctors and nurses that live here would say the same thing. They did not know until they lived here. Wealthy Brits Europeans Arabs, Canadians if they have problems run here because this country is still innovative with the best hospitals and doctors!! We are making the rest of the world inadequate. Doctors from India the best ones and Filipino nurses get trained only to come here to make good money and let their countries suffer. Half the doctors and nurses graduate from those countries and go to the USA alone. India and the Philippines are trying to find out how to keep their doctors and nurses from leaving because they do not have enough. Americans are reluctant because of the high cost of medical schools so they say we need more doctors and nurses for the high demand. They get them!! UK they recruit nurses and doctors too. British nurses and British doctors go to the UK every year to recruit some to the USA telling them the benefits about being here. They always say many want to come for the money!! That was how they were recruited. One cousin of mine a nurse did that too in Britain traveling around and every conference was packed. She had some beg her to help them get out of the UK. She was thinking what is wrong with the NHS? They told her horror stories!! The British Irish have shortages of doctors and nurses. They leave for USA or Australia or New Zealand. Not Canada because if they can get in the USA, they do!! Britain with their shortages get their recruits from India and the Philippines too who desperately needs their doctors or nurses too to stay home instead of going to the USA, they go to the UK too or Ireland. Is that good? for Britain, Ireland or Asian countries?

@@ThatGuyCanmanNC This is not True at all. I am poor and severely chronically disabled and have Medicare and Medicaid and all of my essential medical needs are covered and I can see specialists whenever necessary or for check ups along with necessary medical supplies provided. Poor people don’t just die if they have severe health problems that is absolutely illegal and everyone must be provided care when needed. The group that is generally hurt the most is the lower middle class who isn’t poor enough to have their healthcare completely subsidized but also doesn’t have enough money to cover all potential medical expenses should something serious arise. This can lead to bankruptcy in some cases but if they have a serious medical issue they must be treated regardless of their ability to pay. It’s not perfect and certain things need to be fixed in order to bring inflated prices down including more competitivenes but being intimately familiar with how much of a headache it can be to deal with the government run Medicare and Medicaid for which I am still grateful for, I am very glad there is a robust and comprehensive private healthcare system out there able to provide the excellent service I am able to tap into.

So if you want a regular doctor's appointment in the US, like with a family doctor when you are sick at a doctor's office, usually you can get an appointment as soon as you need. Some offices even allow walk ins for sick patients (tho not right now due to covid). Specialists tho like dermatologists usually require a referral from your regular physician in order to get an appointment (at least they do here in Virginia). How soon they can see you usually depends on the specialist though, some can see you with a couple of weeks and others can't see you for a month or so.

I watch the Wandering Ravens all the time. They're great! At the moment because of the pandemic they're doing their content from the States but usually they're abroad. There are streets in other countires equally beautiful. Tokyo has some really nice ones. Great video!

Since we pay for healthcare we always get our appointment really fast well at least that was the case pre-COVID, even if you don’t pay for health care and it’s government based you still get your appointments really fast or at least that’s how things are where I live in the Midwest (Minnesota skol!! Vikings 💛💜)
