I was a combat medic in Iraq..2003, but I'd do it again if asked in a heartbeat. Many of us, especially veterans, are very patriotic and protective of our flag. I just wanted to thank you so very much for your respect.. I have never been to your country but from everything that I have ever heard, it is beautiful and there is a lot of pride so I would love to experience that someday. Thanks again brother!

This song came out after 9/11 in response to the tragedy. Toby Keith, the guy singing, did a tour of American bases during that time to boost moral of soldiers. He has done many other wonderful things for the military and their families. My husband, brother, uncle are all in the military and this man has so much respect from me. My uncle was in Afghanistan during this time and these types of songs were always so emotional for our family. You should react to the song American Soldier by him if you really liked this one. It’s wonderful! I stumbled upon your channel yesterday and am really enjoying y’all’s videos! I am so interested in other cultures as well! Love from, Arkansas! Keep doing what y’all are doing!

@Tara Priddy | Over 40 the older generation screwed the younger generation and expect them to listen? Smh come on you got to approach the younger gen with a different approach and an open mind. They care about this nation more then the older gen seeing how their nation is broken due to the older gen and left with fixing it. My main point is there is other points of view and you should talk with them, not fight with this tribalism talk...

Feeling patriotism for your own country from a song that rallied an ally from an attack that extended much further than just the US is appropriate. I think that it’s clear that the UK would and does respond the same way to being hit, just ask Argentina. Who wouldn’t respond with a boot in the backside if they (as a country) were able to in response to an attack? It should not be forgotten that the only time that NATO has activated Article 5 is in response to 9/11/2001. 9/11 became an attack on the UK more than it already was just from the 67 British people killed in the attack. The Guardian newspaper listed a further 19 people with close ties to the UK, plus 11 Australians, 24 Canadians, 19 Jamaicans, etc. Elizabeth II lost more than 100 of her subjects that day.

This song was actually released shortly in 2002, inspired heavily by the death of Toby’s dad and the attacks on 9/11. The “sucker punch” he is referring to is the attacks on 9/11, and the “black eye” he talked about is the aftermath of 9/11. The horror, the fear, the pain. But as soon as the US got over the immediate aftermath, or as Toby said, “as soon as we can see clearly through our big black eye,” the US is gonna come back hard and strike back with a force never seen before. Gonna lit up their world like the Fourth of July

That meme is a reference to George Washington crossing the Delaware River on Christmas day to engage British loyalist Hessian troops in Trenton NJ. And it is awesome.

I LOVE your reaction to this video. Yes, this song was written in response to 9/11! Toby Keith is a very popular and famous country music singer and supporter of our military. I would love to see your reaction to "Whiskey for my Men, Beer for my Horses" a duet with Willie Nelson. Or - "I'll Never Smoke Weed with Willie Again!". Willie Nelson is also a very popular country music artist with over 7 decades in the music industry.

I love his rebellious songs, but saw him live and "Blue Moon" was incredible. It really showcased his voice. I have to say it was a moment for me. It was early days for him and I loved his songs, but you don't really pay attention to his voice because his lyrics are so funny or moving. It was like when my friend talked me into seeing Tom Jones live when he was old. I thought it would be hysterical. It was awesome. Tom Jones singing Walking in Memphis live was something. Dude could sing.

No, Beesley, YOU are the LEGEND for reacting to this music video! As a fellow Oklahoman with Toby, I very much enjoy his music and respect his patriotism! Thank you!!! Being "American" is not about genetics and it's not about where you were born, or where you reside; America, at its core, is an idea. It is a conviction that Free individuals working together IS the better way for humankind to protect and defend "Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness". It is a conviction that doesn't sway to the winds of history. It is a conviction that, despite our differences, disagreements, and our short-comings, true Americans stand resolutely together, shoulder-to-shoulder as a nation of people that, despite being disparate in their origins, share a common conviction that individual Freedom is the Better Way to govern. That Free individuals striving and working TOGETHER to achieve our "More Perfect Union" as enshrined in the Preamble of Our Constitution is the Better Way. It is still a work in progress, and the evolution is rarely easy, pretty, or comfortable, but the quintessence of America is that shared conviction that Individual Liberty is the Better Way to achieve that More Perfect Union. Thanks, again, Beesley!

"Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue (The Angry American)" is a song written and recorded by American country music artist Toby Keith. The song was written in late 2001, and was inspired by Keith's father's death in March 2001, as well as the September 11, 2001 attacks on the United States later that year.
