I like how you pointed out the fact he removed his sombrero during the song. This is a great sign humility/respect, especially for mariachi. The lyrics during those parts sing of being humble and accepting a loss, however wanting to come back stronger/better from that loss. Another great reaction. Thanks!

Ironically, that yell you did at 3:18 was pretty close to a traditional "grito," which you can hear Chente do at 4:25. 😁 Tidbit: Speaking of opera singers, Placido Domingo recorded a Mariachi album and it was spot on with his opera skills.

Well, honestly you started with very high talented Mexican musicians. Vicente Fernandez is considered the King of Ranchero music, and even two of his sons are singers. Alejandro Fernandez often sings mariachi music, but is more inclined to pop music. Vicente Fernandez Jr is more ranchero music. Vicente Fernandez even produced and stared in movies. If you still want to react to Mexican artists, react to Jose Jose with the song "El Triste". It's a different kind of music, very common in the 1970s Mexico.

*EL REY DEL MARIACHI* .... Welcome to our Mexican heritage Luke, our parties don't begin until a Vicente Fernandez song is played. There is a story that in the beginning of his career he played a small open arena of 5K people, the venue lost power so no sound system, the manager said just end everything, but Vicente said NO he would go ahead and sing with no mic and his voice amplified so loudly the people in the very back could still hear him clearly. His son and grandson are also singers. Please don't think this is the only music out of Mexico, there are so many genres. Suggestion: - "El Rey" En Vivo by *Vicente Fernandez* - "Llorona " by *Angela Aguilar* (she is Mexican entertainment royalty, her whole family are recording artists grandparents (also actors), father, brother, cousin)

I think that your reaction is by far the most accurate. The musical aspect does indeed convey an emotional construct. The fidelity and power of his voice, I have no words for it. Mexican music is indeed a rabbit hole of many genres and you have chosen one of the elites. I have always loved Vicente and his music and in his passing, I was blown away to find out just how large and widespread his following was. After his passing, I saw many condolences flowing in from so many parts of the world. From the United States to the tip of South America, Spain, Italy, Croatia, Russia and France. Keep going. There are others that have left their finger prints on our hearts. Jorge Negrete, Javier Solis, Pedro Infante, Antonio Aguilar and Jose Alfredo Jimenez. Vicente has left us his son Alejandro, who is also very talented. Enjoy.

It's true, the instruments are telling a story, and the voice must be another instrument, not just for story telling, but to direct the song. and the attitude comes with the Mariachi persona. Also the lyrics go with the music, if you get a chance to get a translation, it adds-up to the sentiment. PD: you are pronouncing Vicente correctly

My dad's family lives very close to his ranch in huentitan Jalisco.we used to walk over and try to sneak in the fence. 😆 he was one of the greatest mariachi singers of all time. Rip. I left a suggestion for Mexican rock reaction. Caifanes are very unique. They are still actively touring. they were my favorite band growing up and still are. I almost saw them in concert in Portland, Oregon usa, but due to finances, I had to choose between one ok rock and them and for obvious reasons OOR won. I saw caifanes back when I was young. I hope you react to them. Thank you again for your reactions. You are my favorite.❤️
