I played high school ball with Antawn Jamison and went to school at UNC with him and Vince...we are all the same age...both of those guys are very humble and really laid back...Jamison and Vince were roommates and I used to go hangout with them. I still talk to Jamison because we've known each other since junior high school but I've seen Vince do some shit no one has ever seen....

Not that I'm complaining about getting to see round after round of these two throwing down, but they really should wait to give scores until both have done their dunks - otherwise you run into the problem they had here where they gave a dunk a perfect score and had nowhere to go when they just kept going bigger.

The main problem with the dunk contest is everything gets a 50. The first dunk of every contest needs to be given straight 5’s, and every dunk after that can be judged accordingly to the firsts dunk.

Lavine's first dunk was a watered down version of Gordon's. He should have gotten between 46 to 48 for that.

Gordon got robbed again in 2020, it was so controversial that they changed the rules for 2021 so that they chose which dunk was better for the final round, instead of a points system. You should check out the 2020 contest as well

Wouldn’t say robbed persay but Gordon definitely had the top dunks. This contest highlighted the eventual issue you face with this scoring system. Not all 10 dunks are the same right, but 10 is as high as you can give. When they got to a certain point of it being tied they should have abandoned the 10 score system and had them dunk off 1 for 1 and have the judges literally chose a winner based off those two dunks sudden death style. It’s similar to boxing or mma scoring. Not all 10-9 rounds are the same

@@ofallmyintention9496 true and they are both great but the dunks Vince did in games smoke Gordon and Levine by far....I went to UNC with Vince in college tom 95-99 except he and Antawn Jamison both went pro a year early....I was Antawn Jamison's PG at Providence High School in Charlotte from 92-95 and remember seeing Dean Smith and Bill Guthridge their at games to recruit him to UNC. Him and Vince both are very cool guys and I was one of Jamison's groomsmen in his wedding....Jamison scored over 20,000 points in the NBA and Carter over 30,000...I never played a day of college ball!😂👍
