lol. I just bought 50 of those little lights. Mine is white light, works great for little survival kits. They’re actually party balloon lights and that band is supposed to make it waterproof.

Not to bad for off the shelf, and I definitely agree with your analysis. On that ferro rod/whistle combo you may have been using the striker backwards, I have a few just like that and it fooled me at first lol. Just make sure your using the burr side and that little rod should throw pretty good sparks, ive started several fires with these and have them scattered everywhere lol. Great review 👍

I would add a #SOG micron 2 or other very small blade to that kit & a #Grimsworkshop wallet card that has fish hooks/arrow heads, etc. That aluminum foil can be turned into an origami cup. Can't find this kit on #Amazon anymore. Thanks for the video presentation.

@Anthony Everitt are you kidding? Out of survival equipment a whistle is one of the most important... you can't yell for help forever and its sound travels further... and this also has a fire starter.

My understanding, maybe just a myth, the original intent of tampons was plugging bullet holes, it was nurses in WWII that found a different use for them. But, my grandma wouldn't let the males of the house go hunting if they didn't bring a tampon with them. And something that everyone misses about those tins, the ones with the seams on the bottom don't actually hold water or keep water out. The foil becomes necessary to function as a liner to hold water.

You chop off 1 fifth of the tampon. Then pull it apart and nest it up. One spark. Not with that whistle. It will fire awesome

Brass wire- it’s copper Yes it’s a tampon. You can start over 15 fires with one tampon. Are confused with how actually useful all that stuff is. You need to research each of those items and what you can do with them. Then you will see how much more intelligent people from the uk are.

@@renaissancemarinetv3536 when I did my survival training they said stop putting condoms in survival kits. They break too often and degrade over time. I like the whirlpaks.
