British warship HMS Dauntless heads out to sea after maintenance ⚓️

HMS Prince of Wales was due to depart at 09:55 on Thursday, August 1st. The movement was delayed and instead replaced by HMS Dauntless at 10:45 on the shipping schedule. The aircraft carrier departed on Friday: kzbin.info/www/bejne/l6HRe5-jrrqhh9U

What always strikes me is the number of escorts deployed to get any British warship safely out of port these days. Not to mention the personnel manning miniguns etc dotted around the ship. The time when an RN ship would simply cast off and head for the channel are long gone unfortunately. So are the days when there would be flotillas of other RN ships waiting to follow....
