They are open on Friday,Saturday and Sunday at 11:00am. People show up on Saturdays anywhere between 6-8am. When they sat down to eat it was probably close to 10:30am since they were filming. They didn’t show trying the sides but the cheesy grits are amazing and so is the banana pudding.

A lot of these BBQ places are only open a few days a week. So people will get there early and wait in line because once they are out of product that's it they close, and they might not be open for a few days.

Goldee's opens at 9:00 AM. You may have cows, wood, appetites, salt and pepper but, you don't have the know-how. Bar-B-Que is an art and a science, if you don't know the secrets of both, you'll never achieve BBQ Nirvana.

at 107 Celsius, smoke brisket 12-14 hours, pork ribs about 4 hours, chicken 2-3 hours, pork butt about 8 hours, beef ribs about 6-8 hours, fish is about an hour... just have to do it to determine exact times... took me over 5 years and thousands of $$$ before I made a great brisket. Then again, maybe I just suck...

I totally love BBQ. If I was younger I'd move to Texas to be as near to this place as possible. You can see that it will be really good by sight. I am really now hungry for BBQ but I have already made dinner. There is a lot of great BBQ places in other state who do it all differently like St Louis BBQ. Very good but I like this kind of BBQ most. I need some now!

Goldee's is in Ft. Worth and is only open Friday,Saturday and Sunday from 11 - 3 or until they sell out. That's probably around $180 worth of food. The beef rib alone is probably $50 another $35 for the pork ribs and the brisket, pork belly, turkey and sausage $50 sides around $8 each. The meat I'd cooked so long that the fat breaks down so it's not chewy but melts in your mouth.

Here in Texas, we have a magazine titled "Texas Monthly" which has an annual edition, where they vote on the "Best" of just about everything within the state. They've done it so long, that I consider them to be the defacto experts on the subject of "Best BBQ in Texas." Goldee's was voted Best for 2024.

The Italian series was amazing on a lot of levels. The Jolly guys did have the sides--they only focused the video on the meat. Maybe do a tour of Texas BBQ and Tex-Mex?

“25 degrees, it’s boiling.” Meanwhile in Texas, “man, its been a nice cool summer so far, it’s only been in the mid 90’s (mid 30’s) for the most part.”

1. In order to be one of the first to be served, you have to get there VERY early. I bet they open at 11 AM. Because they said they had been there for 3 hours before they actually sat down to eat, they probably got there at 8 AM. 2. Portions: I would not be surprised to find they sell the meat by weight. Remember, Jolly is also feeding their camera men & probably 1 or 2 other production people. The man who was first in line probably had a normal sized order.

Living in Ft Worth, TEXAS I eat BBQ all the time even though it drives my doctor insane you CANNOT get enough brisket and pork ribs if heaven is a food it would be cooked in TEXAS
@Alex-kd5xc3 ай бұрын
You guys just haven’t had enough barbecue in your lives because that is EXACTLY how you want your barbecue restaurant to look. The more rural and inconspicuous, the better. Bonus points if there is outdoor seating even though it’s 110°F outside. This is food that you are going to eat with your hands, so you shouldn’t expect valets and fancy silverware.

The problem with all these great BBQ places like Franklins,Blacks and this place is that you have to wait in line for 3 or 4 hours for food. If you go later in the day they may be out of a lot of the meats. Last time I was in Austin I didn't eat at those places because I just have better things to do than waste half my day at a BBQ place no matter how good it is

Normally, when you got to one of those barbecue places, you pay by weight. They're doing this for a video so they've trying some of everything. I'd guess that's about $150 worth of food.
