LV probably doesn't have the market for two NBA teams. It's something like the #40 market in the US and, if I remember correctly, population around 500k in the city and 2M in the metro area.

Also, it may not be obvious, but the NBA and NHL seasons overlap nearly identically so the scheduling is the biggest issue. But I also know that Boston's NBA team (Celtics) and NHL team (Bruins) both use the same building so it can be done. In the off season there are lots of events (concerts, etc.) that the building is used for.

They didn’t mention it in the video but also the clippers are putting 51 rows of consecutive/uninterrupted seats behind one of the baskets and the rules are only clippers fans can sit in t that section there trying to make it like a soccer/football supporters section It’s called the wall

About 5 years ago I did an improv class. One of the other people in the class was the project manager of the Sacramento Kings new arena they were currently building. He was telling us about the new arena and the problems they were having. He also told us about all the advancements they were putting in, like the second-largest screen in the NBA and how it would be wired so every inch you could get a signal no matter where you were in the arena. I have not been there but from my friends who have its really impressive.

us in okc just voted for the stadium a couple months ago which is way there isnt any models/renderings in the vid,, voting for it was basically a no brainier, the thunder have really helped build up okc as it had basically nothing before them. and while the no tax raise is technically true, it an extension of a sales tax that they use to improve the city that the residents have voted to extend 5 times already. the last round giving a nice big park in downtown. were happy to keep are team locked in till 2050

The Clippers have played second fiddle to the Lakers for decades in Los Angeles, and in the Staples Center they’re third for scheduling where the hockey team Kings actually get the most favorable times. Their new arena will be in Inglewood right by SoFi

it'll be so cool once they get the 2 new teams cuz certain teams will have to leave the western conference everything will be restructured and ofc the draft so the new teams can get players there hasnt been one of those drafts in decades where teams can only lock in certain amount of players and everyone else gets put up for a draft and the new teams gets to fill their roster

One rumor I have heard several times is that a Las Vegas team would play at the T-Mobile but would move to the new arena/casino once it is complete. That new area is just going to be a mini-city within Las Vegas. I have seen some plans and it will be great if that is where the team ends up. I doubt the Sphere would be an option. Also, if all goes to plan, they are putting the A's baseball team right on the strip where the Tropicana currently is.

Vegas will more than likely only have one of each team (WNBA, NHL, NBA, MLB, NFL). 2 teams for a sport are only reserved for the big 3 cities in the US (New York, Los Angeles, Chicago), but even that is an issue as every team that has 2 has a “little brother”. The White Sox, Nets, Mets, Jets, NYCFC, Islanders, Chargers, Angels, Clippers, LAFC, and UCLA have shown this 😂.

Due to not wanting to alienate Louisville haters, it could go either way since there isn't really a regional basketball team that already has fans rooted, like the Bengals for example. The Colonels may be a tricky grab since I think there is a very small semi pro team still called the Kentucky Colonels.
