Who the hell parks their cruiser on train tracks? And then puts a handcuffed person inside the car so she can't even get out to save herself? That's the height of negligence and stupidity. I hope they lost their jobs and can never be hired as police officers anywhere, but in the US, killer cops just move to another department, no questions asked.

That is patently untrue.
@QB4055 ай бұрын
@@pacmanc8103 It is true in the US. There is no clear/concise federal database to show the names of cops who were decertified, which would prevent "wandering" police officers who've been fired for misconduct, excessive force, decertification, etc. from moving from one department to another in a neighboring county or another state. If the head of any department doesn't do a thorough background check on applicants, they could end up hiring some problem cop that was terminated by another department.

It's tough too judge people when they're in a high pressure and high stress situation. Most of the commenters who do the judging have never been and probably will never be in situations as high stress as these. These people are human and mistakes are gonna happen. People always say things like "they need to be held to a higher standard." It's impossible to be held to a higher standard than that of a human being, and as humans we are all flawed and we all make mistakes. Mistakes happen in every job and every field of work around the world, it's impossible to stop them from happening, all we can do is try to minimize them.
@manicmisfit12065 ай бұрын
I agree. I worked in EMS for 7 years. The average person doesn't understand the stress involved with going to an emergency situation that you have very little information on. Sometimes you get so hyper focused on the emergency that other things can be mistakenly overlooked. I'v been at car accident scenes and have witnessed other EMS and Firefighters almost step out into traffic because they're so focused on helping the injured people that just for a moment they forget they're still on an active roadway with traffic.

If your talking about the last case, i think some people probably feel that a taser would have been a more appropriate use of force. Now if he did have a weapon, then I could see them using their weapon as an appropriate use of force. Just my thoughts.
