I’m separated from my kids father as well and I find people who use the word ex husband they are annoying. I ended my marriage cause of verbal, emotional and mental abuse but I still say my kids father when talking to others and your dad/your father when talking to my kids.

You handle talking about the separation so maturely and so well. People don’t understand how difficult yet important it is to maintain a functioning relationship with the other parent of your child (as long as they are not abusive) so they ask for inappropriate details. I’ve seen friends and acquaintances divorces play out in public on social media, sharing too many details and the people who really lose from that situation are the kids. You’re just so impressive, so glad you got to hang with your Mom.

My mom was single mom my whole life, she had me in 23, and she was going out with friends, had boyfriends and later she had 1 husband and now she has another. Happy kid is when parent is happy. I was happy when my mom was. Now i am 24 and sadly i will be single mom too and i dont plan to be single forever. Honestly i hope that my fiance who is pushing to get separeted will come to his sense, but if he doesnt, i will survive. My sister is going through a separation. They have decided to do 2 days and 2 days. It works out that they have her every other weekend for longer time together. It seems to be working. They just went to the beach together for 3 days and they grocery shop for her, and spend holidays together. He comes over for dinner some nights. She was just sick with hands foot mouth and he spent the night to help me sister give her medicine and stuff. It also helps that the baby is 2, but i am so proud of them for putting their own feelings aside for their baby. She is happy, doesn’t even notice anything is different really, and they are much happier apart.

Both of my kids had the dairy soy intolerance and now at ages 3 and almost 2 they’ve completely grown out of it 🙂 We really don’t do dairy anyway but it’s nice that my kids can be included at birthday parties and that sort of thing with cakes etc. You’re a great mom!! ❤️
