Girl I’m from Houston and lemme tell you that that’s sadly not the end of your bug journey. They get inside for water during the summer and get inside for heat during the winter. They’re impossible to keep out usually. You can do everything but in this city they always find a way in. I’ll pray for you! Keep your place sealed up and clean, spray raid around the edges of cabinets and such. It helps!😭

Yes I’m in houston too and they can be so rude, just busting in through cracks and crevices as If they got an invitation. But I’ve been able to keep them away buy buying those black roach baits and placing them in in corners under sinks etc. I also use pesticide foggers in every room before I move into a new place. It’s works!!

I feel you about them cockroaches! When I moved to the gulf coast, a “mole cricket” got in my house. I had never seen anything like this in my life!!! Google mole cricket at your own risk. I ran outside and just gave homegirl the whole house. I was in my gown at 5am just standing in the street until it was time for me to get ready for work. 😂 😂 😂 😂 When I come back in the house, it was still in the same place. I throw my shoe at it and it pounced on the shoe staring at me like she wanted all the smoke. It has hands so I was prepared to fight. I ran in the kitchen got some spray and sprayed it with some “off” mosquito spray. It didn’t move. I put a Walmart plastic bag on my hands just in case it tried to touch me, pick the shoe up, ran it to the toilet, throw the shoe and bug in. IT STARTED swimming!! I closed the toilet cover and I flushed like 5 times or at least enough times to convince me she was 1/2 way to the Mississippi River.

So I have sent requests to several true crime channels to cover this case but none of them ever did. My family and I are from Hamilton Ohio and James is my grandmas second cousin. Before you could find his story on the internet, I always wondered what the details of the incident were. I was told as a kid what happened but my family would never tell me any of the details because it was something that they never liked talking about (understandably so). Thanks for covering this case! ☺️ By the way, there was so much blood that it seeped through the floorboards into the basement.

It’s called a wood roach in Texas. Palmetto bugs in Florida. Sounds pleasant, right? They live outside in the trees and can sneak inside. I went for flight every damn time. Lived in Houston for 13 years. My theme song? “We Gotta Get Outta This Place”. Bugs made me nuts. Made my husband pay for pest control every month. Soooo glad you are back. OMG woman! You had me in stitches with the cockaroaches story!🤣 I’m with you, but my bug of terror is the Scorpion 🦂! I know you are Scorpio but those things scare me more than any horror movie! When I was in my 20’s, my ex husband and I had a house in Marathon in The Keys. My best friend got married in Melbourne Fl, so I drove from MI to be her maid of honor. The next day I drove to our house. Nobody had been there for a few months. So I was going around, opening up all of the blinds and windows, making a grocery list etc. I was sitting at the kitchen table on the phone with my at the time fiancé telling him about my trip, getting his flight info so I could plan on picking him up in Miami. I had the door wall and screen open. All of a sudden a black Scorpion the size of a small lobster comes strolling by about to come in my house. I FREAKED OUT SCREAMING. My fiancé thought I was being attacked. He told me to step on it. HELL TO THE NO!!!!! I said it’s so huge I was afraid it would lift up its tail and sting my ankle. Ughghhh. I’m getting the heebie jeebies just thinking about it and I’m all itchy. All of our insect spray was downstairs. The only thing under the sink was Clorox cleanup spray. I swear to God I sprayed the whole bottle on it. But it crawled up behind the hurricane shutters and I never saw it again. I immediately got in my car and bought a pack of smokes and some Jack and Coke!!! Then I had to check the bed and every where else. I didn’t sleep at all that night…. 😳 This demonic looking thing was so huge, it looked like the kind they film on animal documentary shows fighting with each other. YUUCCCKKK! I don’t care how good looking The Rock is….. I cannot watch him being the Scorpion King 😝😹🤦‍♀️🦂
