Looking back at this play, as much as I love Purdy, He's a great talent, he had forever and a day to step up in the pocket. Also, the main complaint of his leading up to this game is he's always running from the DT's. They had the "Nose tackle" double teamed... which created a safe pocket for him to step into.

Exactly. There's a reason the Niners QBs keep getting hurt. None of them have good pocket awareness. There's a reason Brady never gets hurt. The only time he got hurt in 08 was a dirty/fluke play. This play by Purdy was completely lacking awareness. Brady might have gotten sacked, but there's NO WAY, he takes that big hit. He might lose the ball, but even that's less likely.

I felt bad for the 49ers. I've spent some of the season uncertain about Purdy, he proved himself and made some magic happen. Unfortunately it came to a end when it was all needed most, then not to mention his backup had yet another injury. Kroft is just trash. No Kickstep on his block or even shuffle to the side or attempt to keep up with Reddick. Worst of all, he didn’t even hold. If a monster like Reddick is coming at your QB and you can’t stop. HOLD! I’d rather risk getting called for a 10 yd penalty for a Hold than risk my QB getting injured.
