The Elephant dates back to Philadelphia, not Oakland!

Charlie Finley moved the team to Oakland in '68 but used a live mule, "Charley O" as a mascot. When the elephant logo was re-introduced, A's went with a full mascot and Stomper was created in 1997 along with his dad and mom Stanley and Stella.

Mrs Met is the superior of the two mets mascots, she actually was brought back from the 70s, so not a strict newcomer, best thing about both mets mascots is the participationin Diaz entrance music. Stomper likely gets robbed because the fan base has been decimated by JF.

Poor Sluggerrr. His score is hurt by having to compete with KC Wolf across the parking lot with the Chiefs. KC Wolf is absolutely beloved, and Slugger doesn't have the same personality and antics.

Mr. Met has a lot of clout because is the first ever live-action MLB mascot. That alone makes him worthy of the top tier -- even if you don't like the baseball-head look, he is undeniably both iconic and a trendsetter (so much so that the Reds blatantly copied him with their mascots).The fans in New York absolutely ADORE him, and it helps that he has a family in Mrs. Met (who is also adored by the fans, even if not as much) and even little children baseball heads in the past. I think fans appreciate that there is some assumed lore to the Mets family, like they have their own lives outside of baseball. Mr. Met's presence is ubiquitous during game day and he also features heavily in the Mets' promotional material. Additionally, and probably more than most other mascots, he has had his fair share of viral moments and even the occasional controversy. Finally, I think it's important to consider the context of the Mets, who have long been considered a miserable franchise with die-hard fans who never give up despite also having a sense that the team they love so much will inevitably fall short. Mr. Met, therefore, is a sort of Sisyphean figure -- fans who support the orange and blue are able to genuinely relate to his humanoid form and how he shows up, day in and day out, for a team that doesn't make it easy on their biggest supporters. Mets fans have suffered for years, and (except for a brief time in the 80s) Mr. Met has never left their side.

Rosie red was originally an women Booster club back when they played at Crosley Field and they made her the reds official mascot with Mr. Red who came in 1968 and gapper 2003 and Mr. redlegs from 1956 then came back in 2007

Hey Brodie, great video by the way. I like to see mascots as what they represent in the teams, cities or states. As a Padres fan, the Swinging Friar (to me) looks more like Fred Flintstone because of the face. Stomper is one of my favorites because of the elephant logo the A's have. Mr. And Mrs. Met aren't my favorite because they kinda copy Mr. Red of the Cincinnati Reds. But all in all, these mascots hold a special place in the hearts of fans, young or old.

Baxter the Bobcat is scary looking, but he has a very entertaining presence at Diamondbacks games. He almost ran me over with a trike he was riding around the concourse. He is a bobcat because of Bank One Ballpark being the original name of Chase Field. BOBcat.

Stomper has allowed my son to stand alongside him for 8 years as Kid Stomper. I have witnessed Stomper make the effort to connect with every single kid he can. He is the most entertaining, the most sincere and the most dedicated- the best mascot in America, hands down.

Stomper is so much better than many of the other Mascots. I'm guessing one of the reasons he ranked low was due to the A's not being popular. Also, maybe alot of Democrats don't like Stomper because he's an elephant just the GOP's mascot. I'm going to patent it so don't steal it but I think that the Yankees should have a giant Dalmatian named Barx Bomber (like Bronx Bomber), or maybe just Bomber qnd have a yabkee jersey and hat on and the spots should be Yankee blue rather than Black... I tried to take a picture with Stomper at the Coliseum and he was instructed by the organization to physically cover my SELL shirt (underneath my jersey) against my will and there was an awkward struggle when I went to move his hand during the picture. This organization is the lowest of the low for destroying the fan experience here in Oakland. You absolutely deserve this pathetic score and to think I felt bad and sided with Stomper when the A's ditched him and went to the All-Star game in Seattle without him. SELL THE TEAM!
