That’s so funny I have the same pc with the same issue before. I was adding 2 more sticks and it wouldn’t display. I just re seat the ram and it worked again so mine was at least fixed.

​@@COCBugsGlitchesi fixed mine like an hour ago, try removing one and boot if it works then put the ram stick in the other socket, if it works then try the other ram stick to see if it's a socket issue or ram issue, mine was neither of those it just worked randomly

I recently built a pc and had this problem of no posting, i went through the exact same process, same things happened, but then i tried the "faulty" stick in a different channel, and it booted fine, then i tried the "not faulty" stick in the "possibly faulty channel" and it booted fine, and after i went into bios, i tried the original setup in the same spots for the sticks and it worked fine, and XMP profiles worked perfectly fine. Check this if u have this problem, it may be a memory controller or chipset issue when you first boot it (i used an MSI ryzen mb)

Ryzen’s issues with ram are the only reason that if by the time the warranty on my platform goes out and the cpu or board dies I’m upgrading to 15th or 16th gen intel

Okay so from my experience, it's not necessarily a dead dimm slot. I had this problem like less than a week ago, I was putting on new thermal paste a made a little mess by accident but it seemed fine. I proceeded to put back my cooler and booted my pc it did not post, i got ram error so i took out ram sticks and only left one in, the pc booted, when i tried another stick it wasn't booting, so I used the stick i knew was working in the slot i thought was dead to confirm, it did not post... I took everything a0art again and even took out my cpu to reseat it only to find that some thermal paste from the mess I made got inside the socket. I cleaned ot up and put everything back with all my ram sticks, and to my surprise the pc booted fine.. Sorry for thr long story, just thought i could share this incase someone else has this probleem, there might be luck for their dimm to still be working

Try to clean out the “broken” slot with compressed air. I thought I broke mine as well but really is was just dirty and I worked when I booted the computer.

This was happening to me for over a year! Unlike his ram just being dead, 1 of the 4 of mine would would work on and off. It was so frustrating, because neither me or the guy I bought the pc from could figure it out and it really damaged our friendship. He knew more about PCs than me, so he started accusing me of tampering with it, but I never did and I started suspecting him selling be a bad pc. Well almost 2 years later of him inspecting it and given up and me spending money to get it fixed from an actual professional, finally solved the issue, buf yeah the damage with our friendship is already done and there's no coming back from it.

@peaceifye Outside of the PC drama, he wasn't that good of a person to me anyway. I just tried to maintain a good relationship with him because we were coworkers. I've since moved on from the company and changed numbers. I see him on occasion because we work in similar fields. We exchanged niceties and waves, but that's about it. Honestly, I'm glad not to have him involved in my life anymore. I managed to fix the PC and have happily had it running well since, with a few upgrades.

Sometimes rubbing the golden strips of ram with a pencil eraser would fix the ram(mostly. But the problem may lie in IC of ram, if it does not work simply buy a new one.

You should be testing more I have the same issue sometimes and after long tinkering switching ram slots back and forth or reseting the cmos and after a while it magically boots

I have this same ram (teamgroup rgb) and only one stick works now, when i switch the broken and ok one, no display. I really don't want to spend the money to send my ram 2300km for them to not be able to fix it/send me replacement.

That just happened to me. I brought a MB, CPU and Ram from MicroCenter. After a week of messing around, I had a ram stick DOA out of the box.

I can confirm, if you press power and it turns on for a few seconds and back off with no display, a bad ram stick can be the cause. Take the bad one out and it works again. My Ram stick actually went bad while the computer was sitting unused for a few years

I wish all people were like you! I had the same problem then i went to the store that sold me the ram and motherboard (which by chance the motherboard is also tuf gaming) and they told me that the ram and motherboard are fine but they just don't match which was weird cause i was sure every other fking website said otherwise! 3.5 years later i got access to another ddr4 pc and checked the ram and saw i was right, unfortunatly 3.5 years it too long to tell them you are bad give me back but luckily my hyperX ram sticks had a lifetime warranty from kingstone so i sent them back and got a new model but at what price? 3.5 years of using 2 ram sticks out of the four i bought

Had a similar problem but it was just the amount of ram I had causing instability once I got windows loaded up onto it I popped in the other 3 stick of ram and everything showed up at the right speeds and amount

I had a similar issue, but the ram all checks out and so do the slots, however when I put all 4 in, it won't post, mobo is good for 128, and I was trying to increase to 64. I'm stumped. Did you bios, ram was working for like a week prior.

Hey I just migrated cases, me and my dad built it we did everything right we had static bracelets, we built the computer and it wouldn’t boot we unplugged the USB 3.0 it worked for a couple of hours I ran some benchmarks and stuff I got home from my first job and whenever I plug something in the pc reboots then turns back on fine but after a lil longer it blue screens I’m able to power it on and then when I do anything on it it blue screens we ordered a new case cause the mounting screws broke we think the welds broke but I think it’s something different anyways could it be that the motherboard is not grounded right cause when it was working after we unplugged the 3.0USB I was getting a solid 360 fps on fn idk what’s going on please help I need a answer I will give you a update on if it works with the new case or not

why did the ram fail? could it be the DIMM slot, a PSU issue, maybe the CPU. never stop when you think you found the issue, you are just putting a Band-Aid on a potential issue.
