What a lovely sentiment - I’ll try influence the Irish Government also! 🤓 So sorry to hear about your mums fall - that must have been so distressing for you all and no doubt still is. Glad you took the opportunity to get some fresh air that day on your very cool bike..I notice that difference in mood when I take mine out too! Hi Stu, I'm sorry to hear about your Mum. I know that stress all too well. My mother fell & broke her hip in 2016 and it was a life changing injury. But she's still with us now - aged 88 years. I wish you both well.

Thanks mate I really appreciate that. I must admits all a bit full on at the moment with hospital stuff! But I will find the time to get some content out I’m sure. I’ve ordered a new tent for both bike-packing and hiking and I’m always messing with the coffee. I just begun working out a nice leisurely Land End John O’Groats route which will be a complete contrast to the 5 day crossing I’ve previously done. My eyeballs were on stalks the whole time and I fidget to see anything really. Don’t know when I will be able to do it maybe not even next year but it’s on the cards. Take care of yourself.

It’s funny I was thinking about you the other day, my friend here has just spent a few weeks in your neck of the woods and loved it so much. As for me I’ve just returned from hiking the Norfolk coastal path which was great but only took 3 days. I did film it but not got my finger out to edit and post yet. I haven’t got the hiking and camping bug out of my system yet so on Thursday I’m on a train to Holyhead to hike around the Anglesey Coastline that a bit longer at 130 miles so should be perfect. Hope you are well and the coffee is still as great as my friend reports 👍

I agree. Nothing lifts your mood like a bike ride. I spend a lot of time at the hospital with disabled daughter and last winter both she and my mum were in after mum fell and broke her hip. I'd set off at 8am for the hospital when it was minus something and it would set me up for the day. Then come home after dark. Hope everything is ok.

I was on mine yesterday, it’s not the fastest bike I own but sets it’s own pace. I arrived relaxed. It certainly beats walking, grinning and singing as I cycled slowly along. Long may the sun last, hope your mum gets well soon.

Makes me want to go to see a doctor immediately and i couldn't agree more. Bromptons are the single greatest product ever from UK and they not only are the ultimate vector to freedom but also to a better, healthier and happier life. Any government, any health insurance backing this idea would get a huge return on their investment long term, the societies benefits go without saying. I'm hoping you do a lot better soon and will share more of your tours with us. Greetings from germany and hopefully we'll hear about that since we'd like to have that too.

I wish your mother a good recovery and speedy return home. I wonder how much comfort a titanium seat post would add for the vertically challenged among us. I am tempted by the idea but the amount of visible tube on my Brompton is a lot less than yours. I am inclined to think it would be too much money for little gain. I find the Brompton a comfortable ride when the suspension block is combined with a leather saddle, anyway.

That’s actually a very valid point - surely you’re right, the more of the post is exposed the greater the ‘flex’ and therefore, comfort. I’ve always thought the steel frame of the bike provides a compliant, comfortable base. The saddle enhances it a little more, but as you say if hardly any seatpost is exposed, you can’t really expect it to add much more comfort. Thanks for watching and commenting.
