Rest in peace Steve, and hopefully knowing in some esoteric way that you left so many of us with a glow in our hearts. Your hit song "Smalltown Boy" gave so many that extra energy and courage they needed to leave behind the oppression of the narrow minded and narrow places, but you (and Jimmy and Larry) had so very many fantastic songs beyond that. With so many fans dedicated to a lot of darker new wave and post punk bands, you were one of those with unabashed enthusiasm, a cheerleader to coax us beyond all that darkness. Here you are exuding the radiance of all you have to give along with Marc Almond, another very positive force of nature who guides us along the way. I'm sure he carries the torch (no pun intended) with extra love today. (editor's note: I don't typically write farewell letters to those who have passed who likely don't subscribe to Facebook anymore, but I'm particularly touched by his passing somehow. Very personal and close reasons) Too young, but you gave so very much and we won't forget you. Thank you. 🌹♥🌹🖤

I was 17 when first release of ‘I feel love’ blew me away during that long hot summer in London. Then in 1982 Patrick Crowley remixed it into an phenomenal 15 minutes of pure club magic. Jimmy and Marc c9mes along and producers a remarkable version and a hit for them both. I saw both Jimmy and Marc many times on stage or in London’s clubland during the 80s and into the 90s. Someone said this version still rocks 10 years after Donna sung it but to be honest it’s been made into a different version every decade sometimes many times to rave reviews. Whoever sings this so or a DJ mixes I Feel Love will always be a smash hit in clubs around the world. Jimmy, Marc thank you boys you helped me through the dark AIDS days. I was privileged to see you at Pride London in 2003 and you were sublime pure magic between you both.
