I told UK Soap Fans about "Recasting" and SORAS (Soap Opera Rapid Aging Syndrome). In The UK they have DHS (Different Head Syndrome), where a Child goes to Juvie (Ben Mitchell Eastenders), then comes back. or Lauren Branning goes to Camp and her Father Max Says "You Look Different", ie New Actress was playing her. In the UK it almost never happens they would write a Character out before they recasted. In 1990 Daniella Westbrook "Orginated" the Role of Samantha "Sam" Mitchell but due to personal problems she left then an Actress named Kim Medcalfe played her and although they wanted Sam to be more "Mature" the Fans weren't buying it. Daniella had alot of problems. Cocaine Addiction, Rape, falling off the wagon now she has the Bone Disease Osteoporosis.
