Nice interview with valuable information and not just for women but anyone seeking something different. I'm older but it hasn't stopped me from trying something new, "You can't teach an old dog new tricks---yes you can, the difference is, does the dog want to learn?" I'm anticipating the log cabin video from Brooke, everything she does she sticks with it with determination.

Brook, you filmed one of my favorite videos. So much so, I shared it with my husband. Which one? The A frame when you couldn’t get the window/side to close. You tried and tried and tried to close it, adjust this, unscrewing that. You forgot you tied a rope to hold it up. It’s my favorite because it’s something any of us could easily have done and have! Thanks a bunch Jim, Brooke and Dave….love your channels!

Loved watching this-rewatched your season to re- fresh memory of it all. Would be amazing if you had the father and son team's from your season ( or the other bro to bro teams) on your podcast to compare familial experience. They were so humble and sincere. Would love to hear their after story. Feel like it would be important to hear.

So on "A Lone" the film company has all that cut out film, all those clips that they didn't use. They could go back into the unused clips and make a WHOLE NEW program of the same season but with all new footage that know one has seen. THEY SHOULD DO THAT!!!

Hearing you talk with Jim reminds me of my husband and I lived. We worked very hard for what what we had. Wouldn't change any of our lives. 38 years knowing it will be hard. He developed Rumatoid arthritis, early on. But we made it worth living. Went through three power chairs. We lived in a convered school bus with three little girles. They talk about the memories. We did a lot of working for others. But that was ok. We played with others peaple toys.😊

Brooke so sorry. When you talk about that property in Alaska. I still can not let go of what to do with the Bunker. Just me. I know. No big deal. But I would still say that the Bunker is such a huge asset there. I get it. Not in your plans. Sorry can't help it. Take along some 6ml greenhouse grade (high carbon) plastic, frame a 12 pitch roof - just rafters - with left over logs ~ smooth all the surfaces then cover that with the plastic and you'd at least have a greenhouse kind of setup. It might be cold in the winter but the 12 pitch roof would shed the snow. Just saying. 😜

What is HARD though?? You have to PICK your hard! Is it easier to have a big amenity filled house that you have to work your ars off to have but never get to actually enjoy life around it because you owe so much on, or doing the "hard" physical labor to make your own place in life enjoying the whole story line getting there?? You, Brooke, have lived the life I actually wanted to do! With the wild fire fighting, leaving and finding a way to live off the land, meeting a guy who compliments that and has the same dreams, etc! To constantly be told "you can't do that(cuz you're a girl)..." yeah....GOOD JOB!!! YOU ARE my adventurous side of me I never got to realize. HOWEVER! I am finally starting to rethink about actually doing these things!! Thanks for the idea of "caretakers gazette" I'm going to check that out!!
