Those are good gains for the two mods that you did. I had a Fast Intentions CBE, a Stillen G3 long tube CAI and an EcuTek tune done on a Dynojet chassis dyno at Specialty Z in their shop in Simi Valley, CA. We got 321 peak rwhp @ 7200 rpm and a uniform 15% increase in torque across the rev range. The car runs as if it had been given an extra cylinder and is so much more fun to drive, in addition to sounding very boss.

GrayFox370 fast intentions long tube headers are already taking the place of the test pipes/HFC, that's why they are called long tube. Buying a set of LTH and then testpipes would quite literally be a waste of $400 because you would not be able to install them. Z1 on the other hand makes short tubes that can be paired with HFC or test pipes.

Just do yourself a favor don't risk revving past 7.7k heads and oil pump cant handle it. If you really want to rev to at least 7.9 then upgrade oil pump with billet gears. Keep in mind bang for the bucks is also about the fun you get. You don't get much straight line speed for the money. But you get a ton of fun and raw driving. A GT mustang will give you more power for the money, but less overall fun because it's not even close to being this mechanical to drive or good in the turns. All depends on what you want your next car to do. Brand new this car is a ton for what it is! But I bought it used for $35k with 6k miles. And even today these still go for mid 30s to 40s even! The engine has 350 HP. A dyno measures the power at the wheels. So it will always have less WHP then Engine HP.
Dont you lose 30% from the engine to the wheels so 308 who would give you about 400plus engine?

as much as I love the 370z nismo for its looks and the way it drives, for the money, you can get a 2004 Forester XT, mod it to stage 2, have over 350wtq and 310whp with more room to put stuff in, haul 4 people and such. but the 370z is such a beautiful car!

312 HP? My Awd gs350 with barley any mods does that.... 😔
@BrosFOURRSpeed2 жыл бұрын
Umm, I don't think you understand what was being shown in this video. My Z was on a dyno. A dyno measures power to the wheels, not the engine. You're a GS might have 311 HP, but thats measured at the crankshaft. If your car was on a dyno, it would probably make like 250 to the wheels. Your engine has to turn the transmission, turn the driveshafts and axles, and the wheels. So there is drivetrain loss when measuring power on a dyno. So perhaps you should understand what your talking about before ;)

You should get it tuned by Saul_nismo_knights from Instagram
@maxgomez48127 жыл бұрын
LunaSolNova , he doesnt charge a grand for tuning. You buy the cable from Uprev, so you pay UPREV ,not Saul for the cable. Then after that you pay him for the tuning service.
@maxgomez48127 жыл бұрын
LunaSolNova 750 sounds like his dyno tune price, not email. You should ask him again. And 250 sounds too good to be true for a dyno tune. The license itself is 300. Doesnt make sense. Mine was email tuned. Not on dyno, and felt like an extra 100whp to be honest 😅. But to each their own.

Good stuff! I've just finished tuning mine with Sebastian (Specialty Z) and have to say that the car is a different animal! I've not been to a dyno yet, but hope to next year.

That's on my to do list; how difficult was the procedure?
@shuura7 жыл бұрын
it's actually pretty straight-forward and fun!! The only difficulty is finding a road where you can log wide open throttle (WOT) runs. It requires that you be in 3rd gear and flat foot it at 2000 RPM's to redline. You stand to hit 96-98 MPH by the time you hit redline. Other than that, it's not difficult at all, as long as you follow the directions when flashing the ECU. That's the most risky part.

Yes at the engine. At the wheels in the stock form, the Nismo is closer to 290-300
