2022 Ford Bronco Sport Outer Banks: Start Up, Test Drive, POV, Walkaround and Review

👋 In today's video we take a detailed look at the all new 2022 Ford Bronco Sport Outer Banks! This is the smaller of the new Bronco's coming from Ford and is based off of the Ford Escape. This model is about eight inches shorter and still has an ample amount of interior room! The rear seat passengers have plenty of headroom with the curve of the roof and can place their feet underneath the front seats to make it a comfortable back seat. The exterior styling is a great modern design from the original Bronco sport and I love how they kept it boxy and gave it an aggressive look for a smaller size SUV! If you want to set yourself apart from other vehicles in this class, this is the SUV to do it with! The interior has nice materials and all the information you need, the infotainment system is easy to use along with the rest of the center control stack. There is plenty of storage space and hidden pockets throughout with is a great use of the space! The engine in this model is the smaller one offered and it had a great amount of power for the size of the vehicle. Overall this is a great SUV to come from Ford and I love how it gives customers the option to get a rugged "off-roader" in this class. It's also very quiet on the road and smooth with a nice comfortable suspension! This would make for a great daily driver and has the ability to go off the pavement for some fun adventures!!

The towing capacity for the 1.5 liter, 3 cylinder is 2000 lbs. If you have the 4 cylinder, towing capacity is 2200 lbs. On the Ford website Bronco Sport build page, the only trim level that has the 4 cylinder option is the Badlands. The Outer Banks has the 3 cylinder as do the trims below it. The 3 cylinder can use regular gas, while the 4 cylinder can use regular as well, but premium gas is recommended. I’ve been researching various vehicle for a while, planning on buying in 2023. The Bronco Sport tends to come and go from list as I continually read about issues with both the 2021 and 2022 models. I’m also hoping that they upgrade the old Sync 3 system to a Sync 4. You did a very nice job with the video👍🏻.

I have one and I love it! I travel approx 500 miles in a work week. It drives nice and I get 29 mpg. It has a firm drive, many perks, nice headroom and plently of space for me. It looks sweet. Mine is in the Hot Pepper color with a black top. Tinted back windows. Love it. People who have the big Bronco want to hate but actually the original Bronco was more like the Sport than the big one which is more Hummer style. If you are a person who doesn’t drive off into the desert or mountains on weekends it’s perfect.

@@waic1639 Yeah. The Bronco Sport would be nice with a 6MT. Maybe it could have the same engine as the Kuga 1.5 we get in Europe (this has 150 horsepower, and only has a 6MT). But unlike the Kuga, the Bronco Sport should only be offered with AWD. But a more powerful version would also be desirable for Europe as well.

I wanted to buy a Bronco Sport instead of the 2021 Ford Escape 1.5T that I currently daily drive but the latter cost over $6000 less than the former. The Escape does beat this one in mpg though but too bad it doesn't come standard with 4x4 like the Bronco Sport. 😎

Either is good. But the Rav4 will outshine this in reliability. Cant go wrong. I've heard some negative things with this 3 cylinder.

I had a bronco well as of yesterday until I totaled it, and if it wasn't for the amazing air bags in them, my wife and i could have been killed. I would recommend a Bronco sport anyway after what happened. We are gonna be getting another one ones things are taking care of. We are looking at getting outer banks. We had a big bend. 100% happy to walk away with just bruises.

Depends on the trim level! A base model with almost nothing is closer to the $30K mark, but if you want some higher materials and tech, it'll cost more! Crazy to see though!
