Making Our 2024 Audi RS3 Sound AWESOME!! MST Intake

👋 Time for the first modification for our 2024 Audi RS3! Today I install the MST cold air intake for the 8Y Audi RS3! This new air intake adds so much sound to the turbo and really wakes up the car! I love how I can now hear the turbo induction noises and the blow off sound is awesome! The MST intake for 8Y Audi RS3 actually fits the 8V RS3 as well! So any RS3 or TTRS, this intake fits your car! One thing I noticed with the installation, Audi might have changed the recirculation pipe for 2024. If you have the plastic corrugated pipe, you will need to get the adapter kit linked below. Then this will fit perfect. Overall I like the look of the new MST cold air intake for our 2024 Audi RS3. Fits perfect and looks very nice. Intake air temps also remain identical to stock with he new kit which is nice to see.

I really like the stock sound too of the intake, both are nice and great mod. Overall though - it's all about that 5cylinder sound!

That sounds soooo good. I have a Kyalami Green RS3 coming in about 4 months. The wait was too long but it will be worth it. Cant wait to start adding a few mods like you did on on yours.

Just a quick heads up, but I've done research to only find out that it can sometimes cause a slight power loss or just no gains! Another thing to consider is that the more air it gets, the more dirt it can get as well from a less restrictive filter! At my dealership, we especially don't recommend them for off-road use because of that!

The computer adjusts for the airflow. And with tuning you can see power gains. On my Supra, the intake added 15 whp in the high rpm with a tune. But I’ll keep that in mind

@BrosFOURRSpeed Absolutely, the computer can compensate for the intake, but definitely tune the car if you do the exhaust modification you mentioned to me before! When are you putting on the AWE exhaust? Sounds great stock, though in the mean time imo!

Really? You hear more of the engine and turbo with the intake. Exhaust is still way quest even in RS Performance mode. So one I get that on, I think that I5 sound will come alive with the new turbo sounds too

Another crazy thing about the stock air box is how big it is! That takes up so much space in the engine bay. Haha

Is the exhaust louder with the cold air intake? It seems a bit louder with in car pov pulls post installation. Also is your car equipped with the RS performance exhaust? Beautiful ride btw

I do not have the RS Performance exhaust. Exhaust sound didn't change. But the engine tone has got deeper from the intake. And the the induction and blow off sounds are louder too!

I've been tempted to make some mods to my '23 RS3, but I'm worried about Audi voiding the warranty if they see the mods when I bring it in under my service contract.

Honestly, you can just swap the stock stuff back on when you go into service. Technically they void your warranty. They'd have to prove that part caused an issue.

Thanks for the video. However, the article description refers to the Audi RS3 up to model year 2021. I have an Audi RS3 sedan 2024 8Y, does it fit there too? Do I need any other parts?

It will work. But you will need the diverter valve like I showed in the video. You have the corrugated recirculating pipe that I showed right? AWE makes a diverter valve kit and so does Unitronic.

No tune required for this intake. However a Tune will help the intake add more power!

No thats just how it sounds. All stock aside form the intake. Cool the stock one makes good sounds too

What's weird is I do not notice any flutter from my 2023. It seemed quite present stock for the 2024. I notice it in my GR Corolla, though.

@@gorpinofficial Keep in mind the GoPro on the windshield, I had the microphone under the hood. I could only vaguely hear in while driving with the stock intake.

That intake won't work as well for hotter countries. That's why as expensive as they are, Eventuri is the way to go.

The armaspeed kit delivers identical to stock intake temps. I've tested that one and thats a better value still being full carbon

The set makes no sense at all. Why such a smal airfilter? Why dont you add another 45 degree curve after the heat shield? So you can use the vast space there? Why does it come with a too short silicon hose? Why does it sound so odd? In Germany we call this Pfusch.

It all fit very well. And you now hear the stock turbo sounds louder than stock. Air intake give you more turbo and engine sounds. The silicone tube fit fine as shown in the video. A bit tight. But keep in mind the silicone pipe was a different brand. Using that extra kit makes the intakes for the 8V RS3 fit the 8Y RS3. All mentioned in the video
