Jenna Marbles is a great example of “will I still have supporters even if I choose a different path”. She’s been offline for around 4 years now and still has over 19 million followers with people (myself included) still watching her videos weekly. I think if you have a loyal enough fan base you can still have supporters no matter what.

Brittany, I was a lonely homeschooled/virtual student who lived in the slums of SC and had no friends when I started watching you. I had recently mourned over my grandma's death and spent my days on Wattpad, re-reading the same stupid fanfictions over and over again, getting behind in all of my classes. Your channel and other followers made me realize I wasn't alone. Not to mention you're literally freaking hilarious. Your advocation for students to put effort into their teachings gave me the motivation to do my work and pass. No matter if I grow up and stop watching you, I will always remember your presence and what you did for me. I'll never forget you

Idk I just finished season 3 and I still believe that holds up to be true. Penelope is not a malevolent, hateful person. She loves too much and cares too much, and sometimes that leads her to do the wrong thing but with the right heart. She has been a bit misguided from time to time, but everything she did was to save herself from misery. She's not some evil person. She IS sweet and kind... but she's also young. Young people make mistakes all the time. Besides, compared to 90% of the people in Bridgerton, Penelope is an angel lmao.

On a serious note, I do agree with you on human connection Brittany. I’m a student in college currently, and I have really started looking at my life. I realize that nobody has true in-person connections anymore. And instead of hiding on the Internet, I want to really fall in love with life. In order to do this, I’ve deleted TikTok, and I’ve started to break down what other social media apps I want to get rid of. Once I’m done, I should only have Instagram and KZbin. But the main goal through it all, is to spend time doing things that are meaningful rather than trying to pass that time when I feel alone. So instead of watching TikTok I have started writing again. Instead of scrolling through Facebook posts, I want to go to the beach with my friends. I will still enjoy some social media, but I don’t want it to control my life. I didn’t start using social media until Covid happened. And honestly, I miss the person I was. So I understand wholeheartedly where you’re coming from. I’m trying to start over and live rather than watching other people take on experiences.

Not no one. It depends on where you live honestly, cities are horrible for humanity. I live in a small town in the middle of nowhere. We all know the apps are terrible. We go for walks, hikes, etc with our friends. We sit on the porch and just talk. We have potlucks and silly bonfires. We’re almost all under 30. Once you set your priorities straight, likeminded people will somehow come into your life. You’re definitely on the right track.

@sol222-ns3cd honestly, it feels a lot like being 27 but with more backpain, guilt, and responsibilities. I genuinely wonder most days how tf I'm in charge of so much stuff when I'm just a baby, then I remember "hey you dumb b*tch you're like middle aged" and then freak out about getting my life together...again. You give significantly fewer f*cks about the small stuff at this age though, and a lot more about the big things. It comes at you a LOT sooner than you'd think. I still make constant penits and butt and fart jokes though. So there's that. The day I stop, my kids know it's time to take me out back and put me down. My life is over if I'm not giggling at butts.

“Will I lose you?” Never, Brittany. Perhaps it’s embarrassing to admit to such a para social relationship, however I consider you one of the people I hold closest to my heart. Over the past two years I have realised I am trans, been thrown onto so many medications, and entered so many dark eras for my mental health. Some days, I would rot in my dark room and the only source of light in that dark room would be you. It would be your laugh, your podcast episodes, your KZbin videos, your interviews. You speak on things I experience in my warped and limited experience of womanhood from your perspective. You have a humour that I just get and will always, no matter how horrible the day, will laugh at. You have been there to make me laugh when my friends weren’t, when my family wasn’t. That’s something special. In return for the healing you have caused for me, I think I’ll never leave. I’ll always be in your corner. Whether you disappear for half a decade to write a book. Whether you go do that Spanish masters. Whether you leave us for any reason, I’ll be waiting in your corner for the time you come back to us to talk. A big para social hug to you right now! Love ya

As a professor, hearing her talk about learning and college like that just about made me cry! Knowledge for knowledge sake is what college, and liberal arts education in particular, is all about! Yes we want you to learn skills for a job, but there's value in *just learning stuff* -- in having those discussions, broadening your way of thinking, finding new ways to see and move through the world in which you exist. Higher education has been forced to move away from that approach, and we're fighting like hell to tell people that learning and knowledge itself has value beyond just the piece of paper and job you get at the end of it.

Lowkey made me realize I’m not getting enough out of my education. I’m a college student now and this made me want to be more active with my professors. I think I’m still learning how to learn, high school did not prepare me for this at all. in high school it’s always encouraged to sit down and shut up and just do your work, and it’s a really difficult behavior to unlearn! I think I just forget why I’m doing this in the first place and that discussion is not only allowed but encouraged as well. Thank you for all you do! 😊

Brittney you need to watch “Anne with an E”, it is truly revolutionary and displays modern ways of thinking in the late 1890’s setting. The fact that it is through the perspective of Anne who is a young coming of age girl makes it even better because you see just how simple so many of our everyday issues can be if we just have love and hope in our hearts. "It's a beautiful thing to watch, under such horrible circumstances." I don't think I could say it any better. It's enlightening as a woman who is part of this generation, and has worked so hard to grow against and away all the hatred and oppression that I know I once took part in. I have a friend from Brown that I met on the S-Watch block of the psych ward almost two years ago, and I saw him front page CNN after the university agreed to vote to divest. I cried at how far we've both come in such a crazy fucked up world. Thank you Brittany for continuing to shed light on these issues.

Hi, Supreme Leader! I am a member of Broski Nation, but I am also an agriculture student and farm worker. Typically, cattle are castrated at an early age to stop testosterone production. This is because you can taste testosterone in the meat and it affects the flavor. They are castrated with rubber rings called castrating bands, which is currently the most painless and affordable option. As you said, a cow is a generic term for female cattle, typically who have not had their first calf yet. The amount of female cattle on the farm is entirely dependent on wether it is a cow-calf, stocker, or feedlot operation. For example, cow-calf operations would have a much higher percentage of female cattle because their main focus is to produce more cattle. You teach me so much on this podcast about things I would have never learned about without your help, so I thought I would share some of my knowledge with you. Thank you for always encouraging us to learn! 🤠

I've had chronic pain and fatigue for half my life (I'm 31) ((though recovering!)) which is terribly isolating. I can only socialise in very small amounts, so having my 'comfort people' for company, like you, is essential to my sanity. It's Friday night as I'm watching this, and you've been my company as I've spring-cleaned my flat to distract myself. Weekends are really tough! Watching other people enjoy their free time with a level of ease that isn't currently accessible to me is very painful. Feels a bit cringe saying this but people like you and podcasts like this help to ease that sense of disconnection in a way that feels safe and non-demanding of me. To your comments about the future loyalty of your audience, all I can say is that when you're fond of a public figure, it doesn't matter where they go or what they do, you're always happy to see them pop up again no matter how long it's been. I would imagine many others feel that way about you too! ❤

My Grace, if I may be so bold as to recommend some of the historical dramas that do be bussin (also in no way am i telling anyone to watch any of these, these are shows i have watched in different languages, and wanted to share with people and thought ya'll would maybe enjoy): German: -The Empress (somewhat based on the real story of the early life (in the court of vienna specifically) of the Empress Elisabeth of Austria) English/Scottish (some French in one season): -Outlander (the love interest is a very hot Scottish man, yes. Also quite a long series at 6 seasons so far. The main character time travels from 1960's -ish to 1600's Scotland and is also a doctor. A female doctor in 1600's . . . what could go wrong.) Korean: -Under the Queens Umbrella (Korean politics from the perspective of an empress trying to keep her 5 sons alive and other fun things) -The Kings affection (a young girl having to pretend to be her twin brother after he was accidentally assassinated (they thought he was her), and pretends to be a man) Honorable Mention: -The Makanai: this one isnt a historical drama per say, but its more of a slice of life story of modern day Japanese girls on a journey to become Geisha (which is a traditional art, and a culture inside of a culture) and the main girl learns she has no skill in it, and becomes their cook instead. Also I just realized that absolutely none of these are british 😶. . .

Hi Brittany! I don’t usually comment but your talk on school and being well read and the importance of your studies was really powerful. When I was in college, I was automatically enrolled into a four semester course called “Great Books Colloquium” as part of a scholarship program. At the time, it was seen by a lot of students as a really long and boring course and a lot of students ended up dropping it, but I stuck it out for 4 semesters and now, 3 years out of school, it is the only course that has stuck with me and had real life implications on the way I see the world. We read everything from Homer’s The Odyssey to the Dante trilogy to Pride and Prejudice to Dostoyevsky to Aristotle. The entire course was completely discussion based and led by the students (with the professor there for guidance and to keep everything on track). Reading the classics was difficult but much more rewarding than I could’ve ever imagined and I still think about a lot of the books to this day. I’ll be going for my Master’s in the fall and I’ve been really stressed out about it, but this episode made me so much more appreciative that I can even pursue higher education as a woman. Love you!

Ultimate media recommendation: The Great with Elle Fanning and Nicholas Holt. It follows the origin story of Catherine the Great when she moves to Russia and marries Emperor Peter. It's a historical retelling with a lot of liberties taken, amazing acting, so fucking funny, and genuinely one of the most amazingly written shows I've ever seen. The costumes are also stunningggggg. And it's just a great story of (and struggle between) female empowerment and gentle femininity. 100000/10 recommend

1,987,845% yes to Michelle Dockery playing Nesta. The older sister rage + her resting face + her badassery already portrayed in Downton would be a stellar cast.

Ok so I NEVER comment like EVER but everything you were saying about, "what will the internet landscape look like 7 years from now," and "will you guys follow me when I'm not a content creator anymore?" and "we are in an era where people are just craving genuine human connection" was genuinely my favorite part of the video. Capitilism and the industrial wealth gap have created this INSANE moment in human history where we literally tore down everything we had naturally, and now are trying to recreate it for ourselves because we're like "oh shit we need that actually". Humans are so silly goofy. ANYWAY all that to say you are the best content creator I have watched in a really long time and I will be so excited to see where you go in seven years. thanks for being a real person on a fake internet. (also side note your ao3 video had me literally screaming i felt so seen)

The amount of times we’ve revisited cow terminology and Brittany never remembers or retains is so hilarious
