Hey Jamie, man when I see you guys over there in beautiful Hawaii, it makes me feel like I have to put money aside for a flight from Germany just to see that piece of paradies once in my life. The positive spirit and way to interact most Hawaiians have - I can so relate to that. Traveling to California last year made me fall in love with surfing and its lifestyle, eventhough I`m really a bloody beginner. My plans for next year will be save money for Hawaii. Its so refreshing to see people creating content that focuses on spreading the awareness of global issues such as pollution and the over-use of plastics. This sort of information is what we need to be absorbing, unlike a lot of the rest of content on youtube that creators are producing which is based on materialistic things. Very nice quality vid...Yes You touch base on the nature here in Oah’u and trash pollution but this was very glamorized in Real Life Oah’u. Spread the awareness of the hardships here. Too much glamorized videos of the island life. Too many people come here, too much military taking space for affordable homes here. So much homelessness and struggle. Cost of living is insane that nearly every Local can’t even afford rent or healthy food! I understand You guys are making videos for entertainment but I would love to see content on what it’s really like out here! No hate at all!

Kieana, it seems like you're the person to make that video. Ever consider it? I always wondered how locals afford to own or rent anywhere in the islands. $300k for something that would sell for $50k on the mainland. Even Molokai'i is very expensive, and it doesn't have an economy. Seems like you must be very wealthy to move there, and self employed.

I’ve lived on oahualua for 16 years. Dad is almost full Hawaiian born and raised and my mom is from Oregon. They both struggled a lot living here. They were fortunate enough to buy a home in mililani mauka when it first opened and a nice house was only 350k. It wasn’t ever easy for them. My dad working two jobs and my mom getting lucky to work at Hawaiian airlines. As much as this island seems like a paradise, it isn’t. She is right. Many people move here not knowing the repercussion. The expenses, the employment,etc. it is sad to see homeless. We are running out of space especially on this island and it needs to be brought to attention

Too much military ? Yeah we provide jobs for locals too and homes it’s pretty easy to get a DOD ID to live on post and work for us without having to enlist never too much military

I've always been completely in awe of nature and especially the ocean🏄‍♀️. My biggest goal in life has always been to move to Hawaii but was scared that my dream of the place may be crushed when I see the reality of it but you guys have made me so sure that I want to live in Hawaii! I've searched my whole life for people with the same approach to life and understanding of the fact that nature isnt something you can control, she controls you, and we need to accept it and help protect and respect her, rather than deplete what she offers us. Loved that Sunrise Shack was at Wanderlust and loved seeing you guys! I am moving out-of-state soon so I had purchased a yellow hat. I have a habit of purchasing at least one type of merch from all of Hawaii's vegan places. I also grew up in HI but need a new change of scenery and pace, and I will truly miss home and continue to visit. Going to miss the bowls especially the Blue Dream. & I'll never forget the paranoia that came over me when I was recommended to add CBD to my Liquid Sunshine lol, but everything turned out just fine! So glad I stumbled upon this video even if I'm a little late!
