I love this performance, they can take as long as they like. Everything from this show is worth watching. Great versions of Strange Kind of Woman, Black Night, and I prefer the Space Truckin' here to the one on Made in Japan. Jon Lord had a ring modulator as part of his set up, but I can't tell you exactly how he used it. I think Ritchie Blackmore's tone in this era is my favourite guitar tone.

From the days when bands were truly skilled and could improvise like this on stage. Too bad I was only eight years at the time or I could have visited this concert. Did however love to listen to my brother’s Machine Head in the early seventies:)

Organ + The Beast - Jon had the Hammond wired directly into a Marshall stack as well as the Lesleys so he could switch between the two. He developed the idea to "compete" with Ritchie's volume
