Browning Citori CXS Over/Under Shotgun: Initial Impressions

Excellent review. In the mid-1980s I bought a 20 and 12 gauge Citori, each used for $500 . After about 20 years of heavy use the safety does sometimes slide in between over and under and will not engage, so I had a gunsmith pin the safety so the under barrel always shoots first. After 38 years of heavy use, the Citori served me well and I use it for waterfowl up here in Alaska, then wintering in Montana I use it every day with my extended upland season.

Thanks for the video and the review. But I’m surprised that the range allowed you to shoot two shells at the trap range shooting a single event. In most clubs you have to load only one shell for trap unless you are shooting double trap. Next time double check with the range to avoid embarrassment or if you shoot at a private club they might be more stringent in the rules. I have the same gun but CX that shoots 60/40. I prefer it as it gives me a little edge on floating the clay target rather than having to cover it.

Very nice gun for the money. It's a heck of a bargain. Also, I think that if your Asian this gun is going to have a better fit then other guns like Berettas, Remington, ect.

What makes it an Over Under Shotgun, is it the way the two barrels on the shotgun are built???

50/50 POI is not ideal for trap. 60/40 will do all. The citori CX is s much better buy.
