Does the government charge us more tax if we have 2 houses?

Yes. You need to pay property tax on any house/property you have. However, you can write off the property tax during tax time. If the house is a rental, you can also write off the house insurance, interest on the mortgage, and any repairs you need to do on the property. I hope you are doing well Luna. Have a nice day.
