Martial arts was his day to day life he lived and breathed Martial arts. Bruce Lee had nothing to prove. He developed many old styles of Martial arts and also developed new styles. that many fighters today are happy to have adopted to their own styles of fighting in mixed martial arts. This is Bruce Lee's legacy and what makes him great and a master of martial arts and the legend we know he is today. I hope I haven't done Bruce Lee's any injustice in trying to answer your question.

Bruce will be remembered as the best martial artist ever to live in modern human history for long long time. There would have been better fighters before him but most of them do not have video clips for many generations to see.
