I’m getting your book on wing chun for the modern warrior on kindle. Thanks for your videos. Iv did some training in Jkd and wing chun( Leung ting lineage) I’m sure I can pick up some good tips from your vids. I had all the books from Bruce Lee’s fighting method at one time. I let them get away. Maybe I can get up to Greenville and see you sometime soon. I attended a couple seminars with Lamar Davis. He spoke highly of Tony massengill.

Commenting three years after this video's release, Lee's isometric routine (at least the one we know about) came directly from "Functional Isometric Contraction" -- written by Bob Hoffman of York Barbell in 1961. (The routine itself, consisting of eight movements, was designed by Dr. John B. Ziegler for Louis Reicke, one of York's lifters; it was one of three isometric methods listed in the book.)

I have the "Fighting Method" book bought (this same edition you have) and prior to that I had a Spanish scan of it when I was a teenager. This Wing Chun one I'll have to see if I can find by other means, I'm not from Venezuela but the exchange rate for the dollar here in my country is kinda impairing to one's pocket, so when I buy books, I prefer to buy ones from authors that are still alive, this way I know my money will feed some one that produced that material I bought. I need to re-read the "Fighting Method", hard thing is to find the time to do so. And read this Wing Chun book when I get it. I have a suggestion for a video. You could make a review of "Commentaries On The Martial Way", it's another of Bruce Lee's books, though I think it was put together from his notes and after his death.

I had all the individual books years ago but it would be good to have them all in one volume, also had the Wing Chun book by Bruce Lee ,James Lee and Ted Wong. Oh yeah the Dao of Jeet June Do was a interesting read and studying guide.

@@longmire903 sure. Find a good instructor in your area if there is one. If not, travel to train with one. If you can’t do that then join a good distance learning organization and work with them. Those are the most basic steps you’d need to take. Hope this helps and let me know if you need any guidance past this. Explain to me what 'non-intention' means and how it is developed and how it happens. Explain to me why BL was using the machines and equipment created by James Y. Lee. If you don't know those things you are not a JKD school. I'm not saying you're 'bad' just that you should not be talking about JKD. Just do your thing and call it traditional exercise or something like that.
