Mega respect. You are one of the few who understand the meaning of the song. That is authenticity.

The thing with Bruce is he has a song, and a mood for every human emotion! He of course has the rockers, but also folk, country, love songs, angry songs, protest songs...and all are best seen and heard live. Disney is wrong--the happiest place in the world is a Bruce concert! Some of my friends ask how I can listen to Bruce every day, how can I go to so many concerts...and all I can say is,how could you not! BRUUUCE!!!

I've loved Bruce's music for the best part of 45 years. For me, he's one of the truly great singer/songwriter/performer/storytellers of this or any other generation. Once you watch the movie 'Philadelphia' and you hear Bruce's amazing soundtrack, it really gets to you.

Won the Oscar for best song. Great, typically understated heart wrencher from the Boss.

What you'll find with Springsteen's live performances is his relationship with those at the concerts is transcendent. His storytelling is masterful and his arrangements are underrated. Enjoy the ride as you explore. Here are a few to start with: Tenth Ave Freeze Out (Live from New York City; Badlands (Live from Barcelona); My City of Ruins (Live from Barcelona); Born to Run (official video); New York City Serenade (Rome, July 11, 2013); I could go on and on...enjoy the ride.

Not just about AIDS, but about all the disenfranchised and voiceless. Thunder Road. Born to Run. The River. The Ghost of Tom Joad. Songs from other artists with similar social impact Hunger Strike, Civil War

Some have mentioned his live performances. Undoubtedly they are epic. For me it is his lyrics, their diversity and the human stories they tell. And his music which always make them amazing.

Some many to choose from depending on the day it can change Darkness on the edge of town, Thunder Road and Jungleland are all gems! If you really want to exspirence him at his best check him out live or pick up one of his live album. No one does it better !

I am subscribing! Streets of Philadelphia is quite unusual in the Springsteen songbook. His best work is with the E Street band, live. Badlands is the song which he has played live the most times. For a softer side try Racing in the Street.

This video version differs from the studio version because he sang it as he walked around the streets being recorded.

9:08 Too numerous to mention. The thing you will find with us Springsteen fans is that we focus heavily on live performances. So you will find you'll get a lot of request to react to live performances.

My suggestions: Jungleland, Paradise, KItty's Back (live at Hammersmith London), Adam Raised a Cain, Youngstown (live in NYC), Tunnel of Love, and (of course) Born to Run. They are all over the place musically, and (IMO) a good introduction.

+1 to Kitty’s Back at Hammersmith. Long song, but worth it to understand the musicianship of E Street.

@@J.Fro90 It's a deep rabbit hole. Four more that should have been included the first time: Hello Sunshine, Girls in Their Summer Clothes, O Mary Don't You Weep, and New York City Serenade.

He wrote this song as a gay man dying of AIDS,I lost most of friends back then voices of friends vanish and gone cloths didn’t fit anymore unrecognizable to myself all true it was at least 2 funerals a week we suffered.the baby boomers have lowest percentage of gay men of any generation because of AIDS. Today we are facing discrimination again I think because a generation grew up not knowing gay men because we had to hide in the 80s because of the fear of AIDS and people fear what they don’t know. The anti gay legislation is coming from people who grew up in the 80s
