Most of my young life I was in one of these trucks My Dad was an Owner Operator and I was fortunate enough to thump through the lower 48 in it couldn't ask for a better way to venture around the country. I started driving it at age 9 when my dad slipped me into the seat one night and it became my routine for the Summer break about 300 miles every night I was logging for him. I used to get the strangest looks from people driving by when they would look up and realize that a kid was driving. I felt like a million bucks. Good memories. As a wee little kid like what was in the video my dad used to set me up in the steering wheel and let me play with all the switches and honk that air horn while we were parked in some lot somewhere. These were definitely The Cadillacs of the day and when he ended up dropping a silver 92 into it that thing became a legitimate hot rod. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.

I would for someone to help me get an old truck like this kw and help me fix it, and help me put it back on the road with me as the driver. I started driving a 77 kw with a big cam 350 and a 9 speed trans. I am disabled now but I still can drive short distances with my disable. I had 7 back surgeries and still in pain, but I still love to drive just to make a little more money for my family once again. I REALLY MISS THE HIGHWAYS AND BYWAYS OUT THERE.

I didn't realize how much I missed seeing cab overs until yours and DeBoss' videos. Kenworth, Peterbilt and White Freightliner had the best looking rigs. They may look like big boxes on frames, but to me they are beautiful. My pops drove for about 10 years after retiring from the AF back in the 60s. I would go with him in summers for a couple weeks. I loved sitting way up up in the cab looking at everything. I've been in every state but Hawaii. It was a good series of lessons for a 12-17 year old and I'll never forget it.

When jumping don’t hook up to just 1 battery. Hook positive on the first battery and negative on the last battery so the voltage travels through all the batteries and gives a better jumpstart.

I have always liked Kenworth Cab overs. I send out a lot of wine behind tankers in Australia, hauled by Kenworth cab overs. Brendan Laws drove one of them I think, he was a real character. Cab overs are preferred due to trailer length issues in Australia.
