Bruichladdich Classic Laddie review #8 with The Whiskey Novice

I'm heading to Scotland for my latest review. This time it's Bruichladdich's Classic Laddie. But what do I think of it? Watch to find out.
My hope is to share the whisk(e)y knowledge I have gained and continue to gain.
All facts are true as I've understood them however, if I have dropped the ball on some truths, please let me know in the comments section. I appreciate any and all the advice you can give.

I've been through a bottle of this and loved it but I can't get it anymore. But I like spirit character more than heavy cask influence anyway. I always found it very lemony. I wasn't adding much, if any water. (Never got any chorine. 🙂) It was a lot of fun watching you "enjoy" this one.

Really interesting to see your reaction to this whisky Jim. I’ve struggled to truly enjoy it when I’ve sampled, really familiar comments from you! But I’ve a bottle of the 10 year old laddie stashed away, and that’s supposed to be much more poised than the NAS, so I’ll look forward to comparing some day. [and what a great shirt... do you do merch? 😉]

Cheers Tim. I sometimes fear that I'm going against the grain a bit in the whisky community but...honesty is the best policy and this Classic Laddie just didn't do it for me. Glad you share some of my views. I have some merch available at teespring.com/stores/the-whiskey-novice-store-2 but not this shirt I'm afraid, sorry. I had some samples made by different companies but nothing I've settled on yet. Thank you for asking though. It encourages me to look into having something made up for those wanting it. Cheers mate.

Just one (minor) nitpick, which you may even have addressed in future videos, but scotch whisky does not need to be matured in used oak casks. Oak yes, used no. The only stipulation the regulations make about the oak casks is they can't exceed 700l. Other than that good vid.
